increase wealth, purify the air, sick building syndrome, what are indoor plants good for

The value of indoor plants is far more than simply being pleasant to look at. Research shows they benefit both people and buildings.

Indoor plants:

  • increase health, happiness, vitality, prosperity, productivity, oxygen and Chi.
  • improve humidity.
  • help regulate air temperature.
  • help reduce Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). SBS is a combination of illnesses linked to a person’s workplace or home. Most SBS is caused by bad quality indoor air.
  • clean the air. Plants can remove many toxins from the air, such as carbon monoxide, ammonia and formaldehyde.
  • reduce background noise.
  • add colour and beauty to a space.
  • boost air flow between rooms and in ‘dead’ spaces (please give them some light to survive).
  • disguise corners and other sharp lines that hinder the flow of Chi.

Take good care of your plants, talk to them regularly and play some baroque music!

AVOID plants in bedrooms.

choosing plants, good feng shui plants indoor, indoor plants, peace lilies

Most HEALTHY plants boost Chi when grown indoors.

GOOD Feng Shui plants to grow indoors include:

  • Bamboo
  • Dwarf banana plants (Musa cavendishii)
  • Feng shui money trees (Dracaena)
  • Ficus species
  • Goosefoot plants (Syngonium podophyllum)
  • Herbs
  • Impala lilies (Adenium obesum). Another name for this lily is “the flower of wealth and prosperity.”
  • Jade plants (Crassula ovata)
  • Lucky bamboo (not technically a bamboo, but a Dracaena sanderiana)
  • Money plants (Philodendron scandens). These symbolise abundance.
  • Palms
  • Peace lilies (Spathiphyllum wallisii) – by the way, these ones are really good to bring good Chi in high EMF (Electro Magnetic Fields) environments
  • Peperomias
  • Silver waves or silver crowns (Cotyledon undulata)

For your place, selected varieties from the above list of good Feng Shui plants that connect with you and best suit the climate where you are living in and fit in the area of the house they’ll be in.

One day, I was feeling down – when a really good friend told me: “When you are deep down and dealing with your ‘sh*t’ – that is when you learn the most… It stinks and sticks so hard that you only want to get out of there! Once you will get this, you will rejoy each time you deal with a challenge because you know it makes you stronger!”

I can tell you… she is RIGHT!”
Eversince, I process my challenges much faster!

Bad or challenging Feng Shui indoor Plants

cactus feng shui, indoor bonsai feng shui, indoor plants, spiky plants bad feng shui

Most nicely pruned and healthy plants enhance good energy.
However…
What are some ‘BAD’ or CHALLENGING Feng Shui indoor plants?

Cactus plants (cacti) and other Thorny plants
Spiky and thorny plants are rarely admitted in Feng Shui gardens and homes; their thorns put out small amounts of bad energy. Over time this can cause sickness, loss and bad luck, so it is better to avoid those.

Bonsai
Bonsai are large trees that have been artificially stunted over the years. Although bonsai can be valuable, they are bad Feng Shui when grown indoors. Bonsai symbolise stunted growth, and can cause blocks in growth and business.

Plants that grow downwards
Don’t grow weeping willows, spider plants, ivy and other downward growing plants indoors. These draw energy downwards, when we want indoor plants to boost our energy.

Dead, sick and dying plants, and wilting cut flowers
These release negative energy and symbolise death. Throw them out. Keep only healthy plants and freshly cut flowers indoors. Replace dead and dying plants with healthy plants to boost Chi.

So for an harmonious INDOOR place, avoid bonsais, downward growing, dying and thorny plants.

Next post will be about GOOD plants!

Why did I wait so long?

B&O, Bang and Olufsen basic stereo system, feng shui music, quality stereo

Since the age of 18 I dreamt of a Bang & Olufsen stereo sound system.

A few years ago we drove past the B&O shop and I stopped to show my long time dream to my son. Once inside, our eyes were sparkling. The owner gave us a catalogue diplomatically mentioning the starting prices.

Back home, we admired the rich catalogue and dreamt of the piece we could bring into our lounge.

We then implemented some changes in our Abundance sector and within 2 weeks we got an unexpected amount of money that was exactly what we needed for a basic B&O model!

Amazingly we looked at each other and we drove to purchase my long time dream.  I wondered why I waited so long? I love beauty and only surround myself with a few exceptional items. I finally allowed my dream to come true.

Why did I wait so long?
I simply forgot that I deserved it !

Ship exorcised by Mexican Witch

bad luck cleared, connect with your engine, exorcism, superstition, talk to your car, unseen energies

MV TECOMAN, 442 ft ship (135 m) was having constant serious mechanical problems while sailing along the Pacific coast of Mexico in 2002 when one of the crew members suggested to the Captain the opportunity to bring his village ‘sorceress’ on board to see what was wrong.

What was there to loose?

She visited the vessel in the port of Pichilingue (La Paz). For the first time on board of a vessel, she asked the crew to all gather on the main deck so that she could visit and tune freely into the ship.

Without knowing anything about the issues nor the names of the motor parts, she told the Captain which motor was “ill”.

She described in details the internal mechanical pieces that had issues with her own words.

She then told the exact date when the problems started that correlated to the arrival on board of a man dressed all in black. How could she know?! There was indeed a Polish crew member who got on board at that exact date who wore black clothes.

Once she performed her exorcism, the ship was “free” and the ‘sick’ spare parts got changed, the nagging issues stopped! Most of the crew was initially sceptic but all could feel that something was indeed happening!

This story was kindly told to me by the Captain JPH himself.
I hope you enjoyed this story. Kind regards, Roseline Deleu http://www.fengshuisteps.com/psychic.html

Double Luck… Love Omen

4 leaves cloves, ex boyfriend, good omen, invited for dinner

After a long time away, I came back home and looked at my garden. Its sector ‘2’ (Love & Relationship) was reflecting what was happening in my life… too busy being away and no time for a partner! Within 24 hours I was removing the high grass and weeds that were covering the veggie patch in that area and I now had a clear soil to start planting.

I was sweating and happy! I put my tools away in the garden shed and headed back to the house when my eyes spotted a wonderful good omen: in my lawn, 2 four leaves cloves were looking at me… Double luck!

Finding one 4 leaves clove is already a good sign… finding 2 of them in my “Love & Relationship” section of my garden, I thought… is really magic!

While working in my garden, I showed to the universe that I am ready for a nice relationship and I got some results straight away!

In the 3 days that followed:
– I was very surprised to be contacted – out of the blue – by an old boyfriend who was in my life 25 years ago while I lived in Europe
– I was invited for dinner by a lovely man who I am romantically NOT interested
– I got a phone call of a male friend who mentioned that he sent me a surprise parcel!

Good omens… AND – that’s only the beginning!

May I encourage you to put your intents and happy thoughts in your Feng Shui adjustments? You too will soon reap the rewards!

Feng Shui 3 legged Toad Vs Nature

Applying Feng Shui is so much more than placing a 3 legged toad in the front entry or in your “money” corner… Feng Shui is embracing the concept of CHI (energy, life) while connecting with the elements of Nature.

Pic 1 – Kakadu National Park, NT (Australia)

Once you start listening to what Nature tells you… life takes on a totally new dimension! When you integrate Wind (Air), Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal  in your daily life—you are becoming ONE with what is happening around you.

Believe me: everyone can tune into Nature, you just need time out and look around you differently!

Since the beginning of 2011, we have witnessed floods in Queensland (Australia), Fire in Perth (Australia),  cyclone Yasi in Tropical North Australia, earthquakes in Christchurch (New Zealand), earthquake and tsunami in Japan and the list goes on! Nature talks to us, sometimes gently, sometimes through big catastrophes.

When walking in Nature on a regular basis, you start your personal “Journey of Discovery”. Be at peace in a rainforest or in the desert, stop and listen. It is in Nature that you will start feeling all your senses becoming more and more acute. You become more aware. Your intuition develops.

I am so grateful to allow some ‘me’ time.
How about you?
How often do you offer yourself even just a few minutes per day to detach from stress and look at Nature?
Yes, you too can learn and be as connected as I am. This is part of my teachings and Feng Shui trainings. With my programs, I do travel a lot all over the world. Yes, I live my Feng Shui passion to the utmost and I ALWAYS take time to connect.

Pic 2 – Connecting with Water, Newell Beach FNQ (Australia)

Different countries have different languages… and everyone in the world understands the language of Nature. Nature has, over the years, made my Feng Shui advice and teachings so more powerful.

You too, get connected.
Become aware. Live better. Be safe. Enjoy Life!

More Q & A about Feng Shui Building Design

auspicious directions, black hat school, feng shui schools, form school, lucky directions

Dear Roseline, “I am confused with the compass directions, do I need to buy or build a house suited to my personal directions only?”

There are many schools of Feng Shui – various consultants will follow different schools… it can be compared as studying English in England, Scotland, USA or Australia… we all speak the same language but express it differently – there is no right or wrong way, just different words and idioms.
Same for Feng Shui, each consultant will follow one or two main schools (approaches).

Building a house with auspicious directions for you only, could create limitations for further selling your home. On the other hand, would you wish to follow the Compass school only, think of designing your plans with a few rules each with different directions.

May I suggest though… When building, work firstly in synergy with the Land, design your home and add intuitive, tasteful and powerful Feng Shui suggestions that would suit everyone. Using FORM and BLACK HAT guidance will create a welcoming and auspicious environment suitable for all.
