Reflecting is Life Essential

After a couple of years of Yin time… deep inside me I found the essential benefits of reflecting.

I recall what one of my old Masters said to me many decades ago: “It is when you are in the deepest Yin, when you think that nothing is happening… That’s when BIG things prepare!” That is SO true!

Indeed, we are living in the area of technology, when everything we want comes at a click (very Yang). Then Covid19 hits (or what the governments decided to do with us). I was isolating like many of us in Australia. People were loosing their jobs, hardly any opportunity was available for months. I thought of all the stress that people endured when isolating and loosing income, being stuck at home, seeing no-one, so what to do? I started offering weekly Zoom sessions on Feng Shui and many people joined, friendship formed, hope and motivation emerged 🙂

I then thought, “What if the worst happens? How can I/we prepare?” I looked at my backyard and for weeks, started to dig and revamp. A vegetable garden was the way! Winter did not stop us, we fed the soil, made a compost, planted seeds – everything grew… I never ate so much dark green kale in my life 😀
The results were worth every minute of our time – eating our own season (organic) vegetables -> our bodies became stronger, talking to the Land -> our minds and spirits connected and we had so much fun!

Seeing GROWTH was inspiring and healing.
Today, more than a year later, again, our season vegetables are growing, many parts of Australia are in lock-down due to a Covid19 rapid increase of cases. Time for me to separate those little ones again and look forward to eating some yummy warm soups.

New Zoom sessions on Feng Shui and Emotional Sanity are coming up soon again in English. Register your interest by emailing me at fengshuisteps {at} hotmail.com and I will send you info and invite link.

May calmness and reflection bring you Peace.
      Take care,

      Always a good refresher!

Different Feng Shui Schools, easy teachings with Roseline Deleu

Feng Shui, two Chinese words Feng = Wind, Shui = Water. These two words translate in our world today as the “Art of Placement”. Through famous author Lillian Too who wrote over 100 books on the topic – these two Chinese words can often be daunting and confusing for many. There are many approaches (Schools) of Feng Shui; those that I follow, that I use for consultations, and that I teach to anyone who wish to become a Feng Shui consultant, are inspired by the Black Hat School and the Form Schools. That Feng Shui approach is easy to follow and based more on static magic square, intuition and landscapes, rather than worry of Compass directions (the latest being a more typical Asian approach). When Feng Shui started
Where our ancestors placed their huts/homes centuries ago, was based on common sense certainly protecting themselves and their family from cold winds (Feng) and floods or excess of water (Shui). This existed in ALL countries – yes, worldwide – hence why what we refer to Feng Shui today can be applied in all cultures while respecting some basic principles.

Chi is the most important component of Feng Shui. Chi is a life essence, a motivating force. It animates all things. This word could also be a synonym of cosmic breath or energy.

Encourage Healthy ChiThere are 3 different types of Chi that influence our lives:

      1. Chi animates our bodies
The quality of our personal Chi can be improved with daily exercises, good food and a balanced life. It is part of your choices and responsibilities.

Ley Lines2. Chi circulates in the Earth
The Earth energies influence our health. Underground water veins and ley lines have to be detected before completing a physical healing process.

      3. Chi permeates the universe
We cannot change our time of birth nor the stars in the sky at that particular moment. Heaven ChiFeng Shui relates this to Heaven Chi. In order to help us achieve life changes, consider heaven on earth and project it onto your home, sometimes to your office and daily surroundings. Placing your furniture to promote a gentle Chi flow alters your lives for the better! Would your astrology forecasts an accident on a particular day, having a correct Chi flow around you will decrease the strength of your life lesson and for example, you might just twist your ankle rather than crashing your new car.

Each kind of Chi influences the other. All of us possess a personal Chi. We vibrate; our aura expands and retracts depending on our health and moods. Our cells continually regenerate, yet our basic self is the same, that constant self is our personal Chi. Chi is the essence maintaining our physical and emotional balance, our environmental stability and the universal equilibrium.

Chi flows fast, slow, up, down, high low, in, out. It also rises, falls, sinks, floats, bends, twists, curves, inflates, and deflates.

Chi travels along curves, waves, spirals, mazes, labyrinths or straight lines. It pulses through electrical fields and disperses with the wind.

      sha chiBad Chi
Negative Chi is called Sha Chi. Chi becomes Sha Chi when it carries unfavourable currents that will affect you negatively.

Sha Chi drips. It oozes through cracks, holes, broken windows and chipped items. It accumulates and stagnates in dead corners and sharp angles. Sha Chi is aggravated by bad smells, too bright lights and loud irritating noises. Sha Chi can be felt, sensed, smelled, heard and tasted. It is dangerous, sharp, rotten, contaminated, polluted, toxic and painful. It can be internal or external, hidden or apparent and it affects physical, mental, spiritual and social conditions.  Sha Chi is also produced on a grand scale by geographical faults and fissures in the earth.

      Good Chi meanders

      Sha Chi speeds

Easy Exercise about the Chi concept:

Look at your home with ‘Feng Shui’ eyes: do you feel that you have too many straight lines, a long corridor or any other Sha Chi around?

Get inspired from the cartoon illustrations and find your own ideas to turn Sha Chi feeling better at home webinto Chi to quickly reap the benefits – it often takes less than 9 days to feel the difference.

      I finally did it!

As usual, I was tempted to put it off (again and again) because it was never ‘the right time’. I was quite stressed just finishing my work contract and plenty of other things at hand!
Now,  I am so proud and happy that I completed the 5 day Training to become a Feng Shui Practitioner, with Roseline Deleu.

I met Roseline in February 2008 and since May of that special year I wished to follow her course. So it was long overdue. Finally we decided to go ahead.

clo-wardrobeRoseline came and we “Feng Shui-ed” my place as this is part of the teaching (big enjoyable bonus!!!). Yes – We moved furniture around. Yes – We de-cluttered draws, wardrobe and book shelves. This is the active part of the Feng Shui. However, we went much deeper into the reality of this art of placement!

Roseline often spoke and taught about the Nature elements, about the power of them working together in harmony… or not working in harmony   😦
She had me thinking and observing Nature and its amazing work.

Roseline asked off me repeatedly to reflect on: “what does one element to the other”.
      – What happens if there is too much of one element when supposed to work along with another? (e.g. wood with water)
      – What happens if there is too little of an element or a missing element? (e.g. wood with water)
Yes – Feng Shui is much more than just de-cluttering and moving furniture. In fact; de-cluttering and moving furniture is THE RESULT of Feng Shui understanding and practice.

When finally understanding what clutter and placement does to the energy around you, what clutter and placement does to your own energy; you want/need to de-clutter.

Much is said and written about what ingesting good or bad food does to your body and mind, much also is said about getting rid of people with low energy to keep up yours.
Little these days is said on what the environment YOU CREATE around you is doing to your mind, soul and body.
Yet this is something you alone can change for yourself; and this is Feng Shui, this positive movement and environment that you create is Feng Shui.

I will go to more into details in a few other articles to come; right now I only want to share with you a few of the first results of this amazing 5 day course:
-My place looks great and it feels really good to be here and so do I
-My wardrobe is looking colourful and quite attractive (see picture)
-I was stressed, yet, after the day 3, I could wake up in the morning around 3 or 4 am and fall asleep again easily (I stress very much at the end of a work contract hoping all of my students are able to finalise their course and get a job, I usually then wake up early and can’t find my sleep again)
-I shed 3 kg (still a lot to let go off )
-I am serene and happy again
-None-the-less, we had so much laughter and beautiful experiences

If this article comes up on Roseline’s Blog it means that I have understood what Roseline is teaching and I am sooooooo grateful to have met her and finally taken and completed her five day course.
I will even say: I wish I had done it sooner! So, if you are thinking of doing it, my advice to you is: Go, Do, Have fun and create for yourself a much easier life.
