Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com.au) interviews Leona de Ridder (Design by Leona.com)

Leona de Ridder – Landscape Architect New Zealand and Australia – studied with Feng Shui Master Roseline Deleu

    1. Please Leona, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
I met Roseline in Canberra, Australia, 1998, where Roseline was teaching a night class in Feng Shui.  I remember thinking, this is a fascinating woman of the world who has many stories to tell, and I am still enjoying hearing the stories of Roseline’s life of adventure!

    2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
I have seen life changing situations evolve, reactions that have affected health and wellbeing in a positive way. And a privileged experience being part of life in a terminal phase of illness, we created a peaceful place to rest and pass.

    3. Let’s talk more about you now Leona… Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I can say studying Feng Shui with Roseline cemented my decision to attend University in 2000, to study a Bachelor Landscape Architecture. It soon became obvious the broader Landscape Planning discipline was a serious consideration, so returned back into the fold of University to study Masters Landscape Architecture (Landscape Planning) in 2004.

A short stint practicing in Australia 2007-2009 gave me a broader understanding of landscape scale and another approach to landscape assessment.

My current practice, Design by Leona, was born in the last decade, along with two children. I needed a family friendly practice, so returned to residential design and volunteer work with community groups.

In more recent times, I’ve delved back into the world of landscape planning, focusing on Integrated Farm Plans and indigenous cultural decision making process.

This is where Roseline and I have reconnected once again, always evolving.  I have observed Roseline integrating what she has learned during her extensive work with Aboriginal people in 24 remote communities around Australia. Roseline has shared with me how she evolved to respect culture and a more connected practice integrating Oneness, Language Ancestors, Land and Nature Elements within our landscape and homes.

To me, Feng Shui is really creating harmony in our landscape and buildings; after all, the first impression you give to your visitors is the harmony of your garden, your landscape, your front entrance and only then your interior. Practising Feng Shui regularly has helped me strengthen my connection with the Land and clearly understand that we belong to nature.

    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe you?
    1. thoughtful

    2. caring

    3. interested

    4. a wee bit controlling

    5. fun

    5. What was the purpose for starting your business?
To find my purpose in life really, and that is healing of the land and the people.  To leave something in a better state than before (preferably).

    6. What are the most common reasons people contact you?
Some are wanting elegance in their life, some are wanting to find more peace, some are just bored and want a change, it is all so varied. Usually it is a form of crisis or trauma that instigates change, and wanting to seek help towards change.

    7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
Mostly my service is centred around landscape design at both the residential scale and the broader scale. Some clients don’t want to hear about Feng Shui principles, this is ok and I respect this. I can still incorporate Feng Shui principles into the design without the client necessarily knowing about it, or feeling the need to listen to the explanation, but they can feel it when the end product is built.  Others that come into the space can feel it too.

    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
The initial meeting is so important, this when the essence of the vision or the desire is shared by the client. As the design process unfolds into budget discussions, it is important to hold onto that first conversation, to hold onto what is important, to retain the integrity.

    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering “Design by Leona”?
There is no time like the present to make change, life is too short to procrastinate, to hold onto fears and old patterns.  Let’s create those changes together in a safe and supportive way.

    10. Do you have a book/s that you would like to recommend?
“The Gardeners Garden” by Cox and Musgrave

The study spans seven centuries to spotlight more than 250 of the globe’s finest permanent gardens by leading garden designers, horticulturalists, and landscape architects, brought to life via more than 1,000 sumptuous photographs and in descriptive texts by leading garden writers.

“Your first easy steps to Feng Shui” by Roseline Deleu

Simple, easy to understand for all, this little red book has gone everywhere with me.

Suzie was Here! Intuitive Psychic. Multi medium artist. Angelic Reiki.
Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com.au) interviews Suzie

    1. Please Suzie, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
I met Roseline through Josè Toussaint’s, Sunday morning toolbox sessions. Roseline was running the session on Fung Shui, the Australian way.

    2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
Probably not grippingly interesting, but I loved finding a toy gold lion and an Indian 2.00 dollar coin on the beach in different spots on different days after clearing the abundance corner in my room.
I am loving the way we are learning together in the group, experimenting with different way to use feng shui principles.

    3. Let’s talk more about you now Suzie… Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I am a very eclectic person have dabbled in a million things. Maybe I get bored, or it could be I am more like a hummingbird and like to try lots of different things. This is reflected in my business and working world. I studied fine art and design in gold and silver smithing and fashion, neither of these things do I actually do for a living now. Although my bloomers I make and wear are a wanted item. I do paint, draw and do ceramic art, I am more attracted to practical items.
I have also studied Reiki and am currently completing my Angel Reiki course.
I am a intuitive psychic, my main connection is through holding onto a person’s object to connect to their higher self, Psychometry.

    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe you Suzie?
    1. Loud  – 2. Silly  -3. Kind – 4. Creative – 5. Different

    5. What was the purpose on starting your business?
    I needed to do something.
I had always supported other people in growing their dreams. To scared to step out for myself. It was time to step up to the plate. In the past I have given my employers all of me often leaving myself with naught. I recognised that a long term pattern needed to change.

    6. What are the most common reasons of people who come and see/call you?
Most people contact me when they are looking for : Clarity, Direction, Change, Confirmation, Potential options. Personal growth and empowerment.

    7. Tell us more about your services/products that you provide to your clients?
Psychic readings and Angelic Reiki (even remotely)

    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients ?
With my readings, I will usually ask first energetically if the person is ready to hear what will come through. I ask their higher self for permission, if the answer is yes I ask for an object to hold to use as my connection. If the answer is no I talk more with the client to find out what they are hoping for.
If we meet on line or through email. I don’t hold on to something instead I will pull a card on their behalf and listen for what comes through.
The first thing I usually get when I read for them will be a song.

    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering “Suzie Was Here”?
Make contact either by email and phone and we can chat about what you are needing, wanting or desiring.

    10. Do you have a book/product/service that you would like to recommend?
    Readings and Healing sessions.

    11. Where do we find your services?
It is very difficult to find me right now as I am only developing things.
I am based in Victoria for the moment and I am available on line only.
    My email address is: suziew-10 [@] hotmail.com
    Looking forward to guiding you!

    1. Please Martyne, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
I met Roseline first around 2005 when I started my Feng Shui Journey… It was obvious from the first second that we have a deep connection and since our bond is a very important one for our family and life…. Roseline is always there to remind us when we get overwhelmed by our daily chores that this amazing art of placement (Feng Shui) is at our hands and we are very grateful for it.

    Roseline Martyne and Robijn

    1. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
It is always a treat to realise after a de-cluttering how the energies shift, however the most powerful one was at the beginning of 2014, when my husband and I need direction. Roseline guided us through the 9 cycle of life to face and let go the past and instead investing our energies into cleansing, creating and allowing for all those yearnings to manifest. Within only 2 weeks we signed a huge contract, we moved house and I fell pregnant with our Son!
    1. Let’s talk more about “Dear Delicious“… Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
great meal at Dear DeliciousInterestingly both of our upbringing was spiced with an understanding of hospitality and a huge part of it was understanding the industry. Since 2004 when I met my husband, we were always involved in exciting food projects, we are a great fit; he loves to do, I love to innovate, so most of the time is always something new is on the way!
However a 7-days shop can take it’s toll, and probably for this particular reason we realised in 2012 that we must take a break. Basically the idea of Dear Delicious was born during that time when we lived in the country. When the opportunity came we were extremely excited to share our farming experience combined with amazing produce; we like to say honest food with a flare. After a year and a bit of trade we are absolutely thankful for the universe for this opportunity.
    1. What are the five words that people would use to describe Dear Delicious?
organic garden – delicious food:-) – homely yet hip feel – excellent coffee – family business
      Dear Delicious organic garden
    2. What was the purpose on starting your Dear Delicious business?
To introduce Sydney’s crowded Inner West to something refreshing and real without the attitude… in this buzzing and crazy industry is very important to create a unique space, especially our large sustainable garden is something very unique and we are very happy to share!
    1. What are the most common reasons of people who come and see you?
I like to think is our care for good food and Dear Delicious’ ambiance makes us a real local corner 🙂
      Dear Delicious web
    2. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
We are open 7 days and daylight saving open from Monday-Friday for early casual family dinners as well – the locals love it…we also getting busier and busier with our functions, we had christening parties, birthdays, bridal brunches, baby showers….it is very exciting to share and create an amazing venue for our guests to celebrate.
    1. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
Most of our regulars we see on the daily basis they are part of our family….is nothing more rewarding then starting the day on a positive note and serving them something delicious!
Watch here our little video clip
    1. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering Dear Delicious?

Dr Dread 3Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com.au) interviews Tami Perrin (Dr Dread.com.au)

    1. Please Tami, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
Roseline and I first met on top of Tambourine Mountain at a psychic fair around 2007. I had a stall selling organic neem products and doing hair as I am a hairdresser and Roseline gave a Feng Shui talk that day. My brother Jordon is also a medium and had previously known Roseline – he kindly introduced us.
    1. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
I had moved to a new house a few years later and Roseline came to visit and had her hair done. Whilst there Roseline quickly assessed my house of my own feng shui coordination and made some adjustments. I was single at the time and asked for a few hints in the ‘relationship department’. Roseline gave me the knowledge, but with caution not to move or place too many things at one time. “Make space for the new person to enter your life” she said, – “activate the relationship area”.
I did this and do you know what happened??… Yes by that afternoon I had a man call me. No I wasn’t on an internet dating site. It was a random call from a friend of another family member – just out of the blue asking me out on a date. Yes I accepted and had a wonderful time.
    1. Let’s talk more about you now Tami… Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I’m very passionate about what I do. I have been a qualified hairdresser for 22 years and have worked in small suburban and high end city salons as a hairdressing manager, ran Qld’s only hair extension salon in the Myer Centre in Brisbane, worked as a hairdressing academy teacher and a make-up academy teacher and throughout this career have always been drawn to the more alternative styles of hairdressing.
Dr Dread 2I created my own business in 2005 called Dr Dread. We are dreadlock professionals called ‘locticians’. We create, maintain, extend, repair, clean, educate and produce organic products for dreadlocks. This is a niche market as there are not many people who know how to create dreadlocks in a natural sustainable way. I have long blonde dreadlocks down to my waist. I love them – I felt a lot more like ‘me’ when I decided to take this journey.
    1. What are the five words that people would use to describe DR Dread?
      Professional – Creative – Passionate – Friendly – Educational
    1. What was the purpose on starting your Dr Dread business?
I started my business because I was drawn to this area and seized an opportunity that I though needed some professional input. Today, it is progressing well. I feel blessed because I really love what I do.
    1. What are the most common reasons of people who come and see you?
The most common reasons people come to see us is to get their dreadlocks tidied up or to get new dreadlocks!! We also have clients who come to us when no one else can help them. We love a challenge and guarantee all of our work.
    1. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
We create, maintain, extend, repair, clean, educate and produce organic products for dreadlocks. We offer a mobile service for the Gold Coast and Brisbane. We have a studio in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast. Our products are also available in hairdressing wholesalers and salons.
    1. Tell us about your process for working with clients ?
Depending on the length of the appointment, clients relax in a leather recliner with a view of nature, with unlimited wi-fi and snacks, meals and refreshments provided for them. Movies are an option, along with a good book to read. Fantastic conversation and shared stories are also on the agenda of a dreadlock day.
    1. Dr Dread 1What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering Dr Dread?
Ask the right questions when shopping around for someone to tidy your loc’s. People fall into the trap of finding the cheapest service – cheapest is definitely not the best option when it comes to dreadlocks. It ends up costing more in the long run. Take our professional advice when you do get your dreadlocks and you will not regret it.
    1. Do you have a book/product that you would like to recommend?
We have a good range of products for dreadlocks, all organic and Australia made!
I would love to recommend one of our products that is for everyone – a soap free organic healing wash bar called Dr Dread’s Body Healer. It is very creamy in texture, unperfumed and pH balanced. It helps with sweat pimples, itchy skin, pimples, skin conditions and is beautiful on the skin even if your skin doesn’t have any flaws. It is perfect for babies and children along with your face and body. Very versatile, very healing.
    1. Where do we find your services?
You can find us at Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast or we can come to you with our mobile service. We travel Australia and worldwide to give professional trainings.

Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps) interviews Lori Mitchell (Speedmanifesting)

    1. Please Lori, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
      SHOES Lori and Roseline
Roseline and I lived in the same residential neighbourhood. My husband was talking to her about the mysteries of life and he suggested that we should meet. When we did, it was an instant shared understanding of Universal principles. Our relationship took off from there, as we started running weekly “Living the Secret” workshops in our area. It was an exciting time. Roseline believed in my dreams and saw me as already accomplishing them, at a time when I couldn’t see myself there yet. I will always be grateful to her for that.

    2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
When I learned about Feng Shui from her and her books, I began to apply the concepts and saw immediate results within 9 days, just as Roseline said. The most interesting result was uncanny: I got rid of some sentimental jewellery that I was ready to release, and two people contacted me out of the blue after 30 years. They were both from around the time I received that jewellery! As Roseline says, when you move energy around, things begin to happen. I have a beautiful connection to the energies of my home thanks to Roseline’s work and teachings. And my husband pays more attention to it too, thanks to her!

    3. Let’s talk more about you now Lori… Tell us a little about yourself and your business
I got into personal development years ago but was already in a computer career. After I managed to turn my life around (more about that shortly) I was living in Australia working for a computer company. It was getting more and more frustrating (long drives, traffic, office bound work) and one day in late 2006 I was watching an early version of “The Secret”. I remember standing up in the middle of the room the second time I watched it and saying “I know what I want to do! I want to teach teachers this stuff!” I wanted more people to know that it was possible! I recognised that I had applied some of those principles to turn my life around, but I also knew there was more. So I began to read and take courses and I worked out where the ancient teachings met those Success Principles. I tested it with others, and when they began to get breakthroughs I got very excited, because I knew this could apply to so many people.

    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe Speedmanifesting.com?
This is a method to “turn your life around quickly” (that was hard for me to only use 5 words!!)

    5. What was the purpose on starting your SPEEDMANIFESTING business and how has the concept come about?
ILOVEheartSPEEDManifesting235I don’t know if this has ever happened to you, but I was once “successful” and then I lost it all. I continued to struggle for 2 years while things just got worse: debt & finances, relationships, health; all the easy success seemed gone. I really couldn’t tell what happened but I kept searching for the answers and trying harder. One day I got the last missing piece of my puzzle and in one hour I manifested $1100. Then, within about 6 months my family and I were living our dreams in Paradise with all our debts paid off, and we paid cash for a new home. I wanted to repeat the success in turning my life around anytime, and so I created a step-by-step system that is duplicatable. This was way before the Global meltdown, so I guess I was preparing the answers for others after me. I use parts of it every day, but when I find myself off track, I go back to the beginning and through each of the 7 Steps! It works!

    6. What are the most common issues that people who come to see you for advice?
Most people are in lack when they contact me. They usually look for more money first to solve the other problems, and then when they have enough money they realise there is more work to do in other areas such as relationships, connection to nature and self-love. All of the people who come to me already know about the concepts of Universal Laws and The Law of Attraction, and they want to get to an advanced level of manifesting. Sometimes their desire is speed, and sometimes it’s just ease and flow with manifesting.

    7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
I have a variety of learning resources; my books on Amazon, and an online self-study course with videos, eBooks and audios, and a group membership site for shared learning. I also take a few coaching clients when people want to apply the Method in a very personal way to break through previous barriers. My radio show replays are on iTunes and BlogTalkRadio. I have a new membership site where people can get group coaching calls and shared access to more resources for reasonable cost. Coming up soon I will be opening up a teachers’ certification course for The Method.

    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
My clients start by contacting me for a Strategy Session. This is usually an hour’s cost but I do 30 minutes as a complimentary trial. That way, they get to see how we might work together and we do a goal-setting exercise right on the call. After that, they sign up for 12 weeks of coaching. These are weekly calls (usually on Skype or phone) with 12 topics to apply and homework to complete so they keep on track with their dreams. After all, goals are your dreams with a deadline! We set clear intentions together, set accountability actions and clear blocks to manifesting fast. I am so proud of my past coaching clients. Their dreams are coming true, they are all prospering and all of them are truly inspiring to know.

    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering Speedmanifesting?
I think it’s really important to know yourself first. So when studying The Method, find what you have been missing and apply that to build on what you already know. That way, you get fast results.

    10. Do you have a book that you would like to recommend?
speedcoverKindle82013_280x448My book is in two versions, one with questions and exercises throughout SPEED Manifesting: the Method, and one that is a “SpeedBook” version which reads with flow as an eBook. You don’t need a Kindle, as it also reads on iPad or as a download on your PC. You can find it on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/kindle/dp/B00DUE3TWE

    11. Where do we find your services?
I highly recommend starting with my free 7 Day Video Course. You can sign up on my site. It is a good companion to the book too. You’ll get to know me a bit more through the course too.

To my good friend Roseline: Thanks for all that you do!

Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com.au) interviews
Lesley Crossingham a spiritual artist and clairvoyant of www.lesleycrossingham.com.au and also the editor of The Alternative E-Zine and Psychic Directory: www.findyourpsychic.com

    1. Please Lesley, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
      lesley2
It is so interesting, when you look back, to examine where and when a person came into my life. This is beautifully demonstrated by my obviously “meant-to-be” meeting with Roseline in 2003. At that time both of us were resident authors in a book distribution organization based in New South Wales. I was visiting Canberra to attend a psychic expo, met up with the book distributor, who insisted that I meet Roseline. He arranged a dinner-date with the three of us meeting up in a restaurant. Roseline and I immediately hit it off and found ourselves talking about all kinds of things, not the least of which was our desire to publish yet another book each. The relationship with the book distributor dissolved away as we both began a new pathway of self-publishing working on our respective publications ourselves, including jointly using the same printers based in India.
At the same time I was preparing to move from Victoria up to Queensland, and so was Roseline. Both of us moved north within a matter of weeks of one another, and we ended up living just a short distance from one another. We both took this as a sign and then offered several joint-workshops combining Roseline’s knowledge of Feng Shui with my knowledge of fine art and clairvoyant wisdom.

     2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
I believe the best way to learn is through experience. As an artist I recognise the power of fine art and the power of personally created art projects. However, Roseline brought the element of placement and intention into the whole process. Now it has become part of my creative process. It sounds very simple, and indeed it is, yet the affects are profound. Now, as I boldly state that I wish to create a painting exemplifying a particular energy or feeling, the colours, the patterns and even the materials seem to shimmer. This is clearly an indication from the higher self.

From a more mundane point of view, Roseline’s gentle reminders such as removing clutter, broken things, hoarded objects, and old sentimental junk has been a profound influence in my life. Like so many of us, I was raised never to “waste” anything and to keep any gift, no matter how ugly or impractical. Roseline lovingly points out that such actions are not loving actions to the self and that we shouldn’t put material objects before people. This advice seems so obvious yet we can all unconsciously fall into the trap of believing that something will “come in handy one day.” Before you know it, your house isn’t yours anymore because it is filled to the brim with old, broken and unloved objects. Therefore hardly surprising that our lives can get bogged down and stuck with all of this in our environment!

    3. Let’s talk more about you now Lesley… Tell us a little about yourself and your business.
Lesleysitting1I have been a spiritual artist, author and writer for many years. I have a journalism background and love being creative with words and with art materials. I discovered that websites can be like painting with fonts, jpg files, glyphs and fill-colours. One of the leading software programs is actually called “dream weaver,” which is so very appropriate for what can be done with websites.

I have been very successful in my chosen profession for close to thirty years but found that many psychics, healers and other “spiritual” professionals struggle with getting their name out there and promoting their many skills and talents. This is why I created Find Your Psychic Directory.

The Directory has many search engines including geographic location, as well as the ability to search for certain attributes, such as mediumship or perhaps a certain healing modality. The Alternative E-Zine is regularly updated with many supportive articles helping people make educated as well as conscious choices about the kinds of readers, healers or spiritual teachers who are out there.

    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe Find your Psychic Directory?
    Informative * enlightening * entertaining * educational * thoughtful

    5. What was the purpose on starting your Find your Psychic Directory?
We live in very complicated times and more and more people are becoming aware of spiritual teachers and mentors. However the choices can be overwhelming and even intimidating for many people. Find Your Psychic Directory can and does offer a huge selection of spiritual guides/psychic readers and spiritual mentors allowing the viewer to make informed and educated decisions on which psychic to contact.

    6. What are the most common reasons of people who come and join you?
graycrystalballMost psychics join the website in order to get their name out into the public arena and allow would-be clients to truly think about what they need in a reader. Only serious and dedicated clairvoyants/psychics and teachers list their services on our site because the “fly-by-night” types prefer to hide behind phoney names, and therefore remain anonymous and secretive.

    7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your subscribers?
Find Your Psychic Directory has several categories, but essentially we offer three types of listings. We have a “short’n’sweet” one paragraph FREE listing that is available to any spiritual worker who is serious and dedicated to working in the spiritual industry. We also have premium and featured listing options which allows the listee to have colour banners, advertisements for their books and products, a longer more detailed listing and a link to their facebook or website page.

    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients/subscribers/members (choose what you want here)?
Find Your Psychic is basically an automatic search-engine website. You simply “join” using a user name and password, and then upload photos, products, and words about yourself. I usually don’t have to jump in to assist, but I am happy to do so for those who are a little over-whelmed by websites.

    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering Find Your Psychic Directory?
fyplogoIf you are a spiritual worker, a psychic, clairvoyant, healer or teacher consider having a listing to help raise your profile. The simple fact is that the more your name is “out there” the more people will begin to associate you with your talent or trade. On the other hand, if you are seeking guidance, either clairvoyantly or via a spiritual teacher you will find dedicated professionals and heart-based teachers listed on the site. www.findyourpsychic.com

In all cases, trust your feelings and instincts. Know that as you offer your wisdom or you seek to find wisdom, a way will be shown. Simply check out the website, read some of our very insightful news articles and follow your heart.

The site is very well protected from spam hunters and other internet trawlers. Your email contact address is protected so you won’t find your details on other listings without your permission.

    10. Do you have a book that you would like to recommend?
Although my book, LightBody is now well over ten years old, it is still one of the best introductions into the spiritual realms. It is available via Find Your Psychic and on my own website.

    11. Where do we find your services? (list office, links websites & contact)
Please check out my listing on www.findyourpsychic.com along with any other spiritual workers that interest you. I draw your spirit guides, angels and animal totems, and give clairvoyant readings. To discover more about this ancient art-form, please check our my detailed website: www.lesleycrossingham.com.au.

There are regular email newsletters on both sites, so please sign up and receive regular email updates on all my news, and the news of other Find Your Psychic listees.

Remotely located, you can find Waralungku Art Center in Borroloola, Northern Territory (Australia)

    RoselineDeleu (www.fengshuisteps.com) interviews
The dynamic Art Curator of Waralungku Arts (www.waralungku.com)

    1. Please M, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
Me and Miriam on one of the 'bad feng shui' daysI’d been in my job as the new Manager of Waralungku Arts, an Indigenous Art Centre in the remote Northern Territory town of Borroloola about two months, and was still buried in old papers, spider webs, old pots of dried up paint, and was wading my way through the ‘gallery’ of paintings badly stored in piles on the floor and crookedly hanging around the place with dust building up and wasp nests in the corners.
before 1I was up to my ears and trying to get things ‘organised’… I am the kind of person who needs a space to be clean and organised before I can start to concentrate… My dream was to soon kick start financial and business development.
The centre had low visitor numbers compared to others in the region, I really needed to be focusing on organising the computer systems and database of paintings on the catalogue, applying for grants, and uplifting the business plan and maximise the centre to its potential.
storeroom before and after spread JThe poor old ladies who were the artists also needed attention to do things to inspire them and put their skills and talent to use… rather than just sit weaving or painting surrounded by all the mess. I spent most of my time cleaning and it never seemed to end, or I’d make minor attempts to do computer work but get distracted by randomly cleaning things here and there as I moved from one room to another. One day I remember thinking “oh I just wish there was someone here to help” … and honestly, THE NEXT DAY, in came Roseline!!
Roseline introduced herself as the new person in town spending time with the elders in the respite care.  She was looking for some arts activities to engage them. So I gave her some paint and canvas and I just happened to mention she was welcome back anytime if she was looking for something to do being new in town.
Gallery Before and After spread jRoseline came back a few days later and asked if there was ‘anything to help with’. And I said it would be great if she could help with hanging some of the paintings on the floor onto the new racks we had bought. So off she went cutting the display sheets and attaching the paintings. “Do you mind if I just rearrange a few things with the space” Roseline asked, “I think it would be nice to open up this area a bit more so there is a bit more flow around the space”… Roseline suggested. We discussed some ideas and I left her to her own devices.
That was where it started. Roseline then became a regular at the Art Centre… (see next question for the amazing results!)

    2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
Entrance Hall Before and after spread jAfter the first week with Roseline working in the gallery, it just looked so much better. I said to Roseline, “Hey, you should leave your number so we can call you when we need help if you have time, you’ve done an amazing job!” – I remember really feeling happy to go into the space and look at the new rearrangement, it was just a few simple changes that made all the difference, and the results were so pleasing.
Roseline said she gave her card to Miriam, the other staff member. So I went to take a look and put her number into my phone, and on the card it said “Roseline Deleu – Feng Shui Master” and I smiled and said – oh no wonder the gallery looks so great, Roseline is a Feng Shui Master!
Roseline had never mentioned that she was a Feng Shui Master, just said she was going to help out a bit while she was in this remote area. Then it really made sense why it looked so great.
Offices Before and After spread jI think this experience goes to show Feng Shui really works, because we didn’t ‘expect’ any results because we didn’t realise Roseline was doing Feng Shui. I had commented on how I felt not only that the space looked better also that I really felt more positive as a result – and it was just after that that I realised Roseline is a professional Feng Shui Master.
After this realisation I seized the opportunity to work with Roseline to transform the rest of the spaces, and it was wonderful to hear her advice about how to re-arrange the offices to Roseline Deleu Feng Shui master in actionencourage productivity in the staff. One staff member used to sit in her own room she was always closing the door and not working to their full capacity. Another worked well but was cramped up in another space… Together we rearranged the space so I was engaging more with the staff member who was isolated out the back, and her work-ethic and our relationship has since really turned around. There were some instant results like the fact that we could chat and relate more positively sitting in the same space, and some more long term results like her attitude really turning around and her confidence and productivity as well.
The most interesting results were the surprises seeing how the small changes that Roseline suggested in the space really transformed not only the energy of the space, but the energy of our minds and relationships.

We can see the huge increase of the last month after our Feng Shui Make Over with Roseline Deleu

We can see the huge increase of the last month after our Feng Shui Make-Over with Roseline Deleu –

The most impressive result to also note was in the month Roseline completed her transformations and the gallery was looking great our sales went from $2,000 the previous year to $20,000 this year in the same month. This was at the peak tourist season, and the new space was much more inviting to make the most of the potential customers. We have also maintained higher sales over the other months just as a result of the transformation of the space.
Media Lab before and after jBefore, I used to leave every weekend after working all day cleaning thinking “Oh this will never end, I’m not a manager I’m a cleaner!”
I remember one time after a day with Roseline on board the gallery looked so great I even wanted to come back and look on the weekend as it was making me so happy!! Roseline was really a gift to our art centre and now, six months later, I see small things like the welcome sign she suggested, and think – Oh Roseline was so great! If only she can come back – but I’ve learned how to make my own difference, and that is important too. She was a great Feng Shui master and became a great friend. We really miss her here in Borroloola.

    3. Let’s talk more about you and your Community. Tell us a little about your Art Centre and your artists.
Waralungku Arts is an Indigenous owned art centre, we are part of the Mabunji Aboriginal Resource Association in Borroloola. Borroloola is a town of about 1000 people, about 75% of whom are Indigenous people. It’s a nice town, and has a constant flow of tourists during the dry season. The art centre has been around for just over 10 years now. The art centre is the central place for the community’s arts and cultural activities which range from painting, carving, weaving, jewellery making and other arts to dance, song, and storytelling based on the traditions of the Yanyuwa, Garrwa, Marra and Gudanji Language groups.

Borroloola Show first prize photographyWe have about 10 artists who come to the centre daily and work at the art centre, and more than 30 who work from their homes and outstations. We provide art supplies and the artists bring their work to the centre and receive 60% commission on sales through the gallery or exhibitions we organise out in capital cities. Our artists have toured works to London and Korea as well as around Australia. We also have a strong focus on developing youth so have visits by school children nearly every day of the week.  The art centre hosts now an annual dance festival and weekly community markets. It’s a nice place and certainly so much nicer after Roseline came to visit

    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe Waralungku Art Centre.
    Dynamic – Diverse – Colourful – Community-based & Great Feng Shui

    5. What was the purpose of starting Mabunji Art Centre and how has the concept come about?
The art centre was started with the support of a regional arts development organisation. There were several local Aboriginal people who wanted to start to make art and start an art centre for their community.

    6. What are the most common questions that people ask who come to see you for advice?
People mostly ask us about the local community, about the Indigenous culture and traditions. They also ask about nice places to visit in the area. We often tell them stories of the artworks on display.

    7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
We provide a space for the local Aboriginal artists to create and sell their artworks, and share them with the people coming to visit Borroloola. We have a gallery, and now a new café, so tourists can visit and talk to the artists, look at their artworks and even purchase some to take home. We sell a range of products from smaller items such as clapsticks and t-shirts that are great gifts and mementoes to collectable artworks by our artists with international reputations.

    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
We have two Indigenous arts officers who work at the Art Centre, so they are always there ready to talk to customers and share information about the art and culture. As manager I help to support the sales and development, but I am lucky to have these local ladies working with me to share culture with the visitors.  Over the past 6 months we have really focused on creating an inviting space for people to visit and spend time with the artists.

    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering Waralungku Arts?
Based on my own experience, I gained a real appreciation for Indigenous art after I took time to visit and understand the culture and people. Like all art, there are layers of meaning, and the best way to discover these is first hand- coming to the country and community! We certainly welcome any visitors here, there is accommodation in town and great fishing as well as arts, culture and community experiences!

    10. Do you have a book/art piece that you would like to recommend?
Some books about the region include: “Singing Country” by John Bradley, which is about the Yanyuwa people and his experience living with the community for over 20 years as a teacher and linguist.
Another interesting book is “Frontier Justice” by Tony Roberts, which is an historical account of the settlement of the Gulf region. I’d also recommend Roseline Deleu’s “Your First Easy Steps to Feng Shui”!!! 🙂
Our art can be seen on our website www.waralungku.com it shows a small selection of what is found in our gallery!

    11. Where do we find your services? (list office, links websites & contact)
Waralungku Arts is on Robinson Road, the main street of Borroloola. Borroloola is a stop on the savannah way, a popular tourist trail between Cairns, QLD and Broome, WA.
The best time to visit is May through to October but we are actually accessible 99% of the time as our road rarely floods when entering from the Stewart Highway where it is sealed all the way in.

Roseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com) interviews
    Ronda Snow ModernOracleTarot

    1. Please Ronda, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we ‘met’ ?
Hurray for the Internet! I have a WordPress blog, and you liked or commented on a post, if memory serves. I love Feng Shui and Taoist philosophy, so when I saw the name of your blog, Roseline, I clicked through and have been a huge fan of “Feng Shui Steps” ever since! You are so expert, and explain things so clearly, and kindly. More than that, Feng Shui Steps celebrates life in a way that makes a reader want to act on the post, rather than tuck the information away for future use.
    2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
Two things come to mind. First was a gentle reminder about clearing out clutter.  I had some corners and spaces that have been neglected. After your encouragement,  I’ve finally tended to them. Both my own energy and the chi of the house is flowing better now. Also, I especially enjoyed the colour and element series. I used the information to introduce all of our lucky elements around the house in the correct areas of the magic square. I think it has been a nice support for all three of us.
    3. Let’s talk more about you and your clients Ronda… Tell us a little about you work.
Ronda Snow Modern OracleMy main focus is natural stress reduction, “relaxation without medication”. I do that two ways that are marketed separately in order to reach more people. On one hand I do intuitive tarot readings, on the other I offer Reiki sessions and tutorials in aromatherapy, natural health and bead meditation. The “Modern Oracle Tarot” part has been the most successful so far. Even though tarot isn’t typically connected to natural health or stress management, everyone seems to instinctively realise how comforting and relaxing a reading can be.
    4. What are the five words that people would use to describe ModernOracle? Quiet, imaginative, funny, level-headed, earnest.
    5. What was the purpose on starting ModernOracle and how has the concept come about?
Modern Oracle TarotI know this sounds cynical, but I started Modern Oracle purely as an entertainment service, to earn money for my Ph.D. Dissertation. I had started reading cards a decade before for myself, friends and family. And the more I did readings with the public, the more I saw how readings truly could ease troubled emotions and lift people up a little. Tarot readings are very much a way of healing with words. Since finishing school I’ve continued the readings and offer them on my holistic health website as well. I see tarot as both a healing tool and ton of fun!
    6. What are the most common questions that people who come to see you for advice?
Career and romance questions are far and away the most common, but there are so many nuances that feed into those two topics, no two readings are ever alike. The most challenging readings are the ones where people are committed to getting a specific prediction, such as “will he ask me to marry him” or “will I get that job”. The most rewarding readings are more open.
Another part of what I hope Modern Oracle will do is help people to see the power of choice. I want to help empower the to expand their horizons, make good choices and create a better future, rather than lock into one vision of the future with a “prediction”.
    7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
My specialty is e-mail tarot readings. Many psychics would rather work in person, but to me the computer keyboard feels like a direct line to spirit and intuition. In my experience, the message in an e-mail reading is identical to live reading I also do in-home individual readings and tarot parties in our local area. I’m in the process of developing several books on a variety of topics including tarot, intuition development, and holistic health.
    8. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
This first step is exactly what we are doing here – we talk about the process of a reading and what to expect.  I tell them  a little about the card deck, the card spread, what readings can and can’t do, plus answer any questions they have. It is like an introduction or a stage magician’s patter, to set the tone and get the ball rolling. I like to think that puts them at ease and builds trust. I don’t ask a lot of questions at the beginning of a reading. I want them to see that it is really a spiritual and intuitive experience, rather than logical inferences from the information they give. The reading starts with an overview of the general patterns of the card spread, then we go through the cards one by one. In the end we summarise with a ‘cold reading’…any intuitive impressions that come through whether it is related to their cards, or not. I do that part with the intent that the highest, best, most needed messages will come through. That is where my learning path is right now, too. I’m learning more about scrying. As I learn more it would be a fun thing to introduce a crystal ball or black mirror for the summary part. It would be a cool visual element for Halloween parties in any case!
    9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering ModernOracle?
At the risk of sounding like a 1990s pop song…don’t worry, be happy. I love answering questions, so don’t be afraid to ask them. I don’t shock or judge easily, so relax and be yourself, you know? The whole point of a tarot readings is to feel more at ease.  For that reason, this is an excellent place to get your first ever tarot reading.
    10. Do you have a book/art piece that you would like to recommend?
My own or other peoples’? I love to read, and could give a long list of book recommendations. “Suggested reading” pages are in progresss for both web sites. I’m infatuated with Jill Brammer Ware’s artwork on bloomingchakras.com, especially her watercolors and coloured inks.  My shameless self promotion would be “Triquetra: The Dance of Worlds” my poetry collection on amazon.com for Kindle. Just released in February 2013, it was a learn-by-doing, self-publication project.
    11. Where do we find your services?
For Tarot readings, I’m at www.ModernOracleTarot.com
To schedule in-person readings or card parties in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, I’m at 421-206-9171. Stress reduction, Reiki and Natural Health information is at www.RondaSnow.com and the same phone number.
