Full moon period is the ideal time for energy clearing.

Rather than purchasing a smudge stick online or in a shop, I’d like you to consider making your own!

Why ? – Using your local herbs and plants is much more powerful to clear your aura and your home and adding your intent of respect is essential.

How to process?

  1. Look in your garden or nearby park for trees, bushes or plants having antiseptic properties (Eucalyptus, Pine, Tea Tree, Lavender, etc…)
  2. Ask permission to the plants to cut a few branches and explain what you are about to do with them. To many readers, this might seem strange to ‘ask permission to plants’ – to me, plants are alive and are happy to participate to what you are planning as long as they are respectfully involved. Ask yourself… How would you feel if someone comes and cuts your hair without warning, simply because you have long hair and this could make a wig for someone else? Same idea isn’t it.
  3. Cut branches to your preferred dimension
  4. Tie them with cotton leaving a little bit of space for air to flow between the branches/leaves, once lit, blow the flames out leaving smoke only. Let the stick dry for a few days or weeks depends on your local climate.

Smudge safely and with care!

Playing with fire always request common sense and care. Look around you, watch for kids and people and also at the environment where you will proceed with the cleansing and do so safely.

Ask your angels, guides, ancestors (or who you believe in) to accompany you and protect you during this ritual.

For body as well as for homes, the movement of the smoke FIRST goes anti-clockwise to clear and release the energies; then let the wind take away the negative energies that you just released. After a few moments, process then in a clockwise movement to protect body or/and building.

MYO Smudge stick wBefore this full moon, I made my own and let them dry. I put cypress, lavender, rosemary and eucalyptus together as they were in my neighbourhood.

Last night in the full moon, I cleansed my aura. I slept very well and today, I feel great! Thank you dear local flora 🙂

I live in a quiet neighbourhood, the energies here are pure and kind. For those of you living in a busy polluted and noisy environment, I am prepared to sell you those that I made here with love and respect. Email me (through my website) for further info.

Studying intensively for his last exams at Uni, my son needed a break and said:
– “Mum, let’s go for a drive, I need to change my mind.”
We headed to the Gold Coast hinterland towards Springbrook, he loves the drive.

Arriving in Springbrook, he said:
–“So where are we going now, Mum?”

yellow carI was rather surprised with his question and I answered with a cheerful smile on my face:
–“Follow that yellow car!”

So, here we were, following a total stranger who was driving along in a cute little yellow car along and very winding long road. We had with no idea at all where it was going to lead us and it was fun. The yellow car stopped a the “T” junction, we stopped behind it. It turned right, so did we. A little further it stopped on the left hand side of the road on the parking where the road sign said “The best Lookout Ever”! We parked our shiny red car next to it. Like kids, we were giggling inside our car while the other passengers of the yellow car got out and stretched. It was time for us to get out too. As I closed my door carefully, the driver of the yellow car turned to us and said with a big smile on her face:

–“Oh, it’s good that you were following us, you knew the way!”
How odd. We were gobsmacked and could hardly contain our surprise. Our smiles stretched even larger.

antarctic beech trees SpringbrookThe weather was fresh, drizzling light drops of rain. We walked to the path leading to the outlook. To our surprise we discovered fantastic huge Antarctic beech trees in the mist. We took a few pictures. We actually felt like part of that setting in the old Star Wars movie when Anakin Skywalker meets Yoda in the swampy area.

We then walked further to discover a blocked view of the lookout, we literally were in the rain clouds!

We promised to go back there when weather cleared up and we did. The view is absolutely wonderful.

So, what conclusion or what have we learned from this Yellow Car experience?

  • Have fun
  • Live the moment
  • Welcome and embrace change
  • Do something new every day
  • In life, sometimes people assume that we know better than they do – Why? – The driver of the yellow car presumed that we knew the way!
  • Doing something unusual lead us very symbolically to “the best lookout ever” in our case it meant to our light and fun outlook on life on the day
  • Stop being too serious, it’s over rated!

Then, simply follow a yellow car 🙂

patchwork genealogy treeLast week I saw a gorgeous Feng Shui idea at a client’s place. She is very crafty and created a genealogy tree in patchwork.

How better can you be, filling all those love hearts for each couple and family members. The white one was her parents, then her and her sisters + their husbands, then the grand children and their husbands and finally the great grand children are coming soon.

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colourShe placed it in sector ‘3’ of her home corresponding to “Respect, Elders, Family, Health” (sector ‘3’ is represented in green on this grid, align 8-1-6 with the front entry of your home to find out where yours is located).

And you… what do you have on display in that sector? Something honouring your family would be great.

Happy Feng Shui!
