Reinforcing your Intents with the Feng Shui Magic Square Placements

correct placement of the magic square, easy, easy feng shui, feng shui, feng shui sectors in apartment, feng suhi, grid, love, marriage, placement, reinforce your intent, romance, roseline deleu, sectors in rooms, steps

Dear Roseline, How can I decorate my master bedroom inside the Feng Shui Magic Square? Shall I do this in relation to the main house plan/Feng Shui grid (magic square) or shall I only place the grid onto my bedroom? Areas will change as the two Magic Square (grids) overlap. How can I do to make this right? – Cheers, Alice (Perth)

Dear Alice,

The Feng Shui Magic Square – also referred as Feng Shui Grid or BaGua – can be placed on many levels as long as the placement always aligns the side ‘8-1-6’ with the entry – this is valid when we follow the Black Hat School of Feng Shui (not the Compass school).

Magic square in colour

You can thus place the Feng Shui Magic Square as follows:

Grid A – On your Block of Land
Chi Kou, which means the mouth of the Chi = relates to the entry of your block, it is where Chi (energy) enters. This is generally located at the widest entry point which most of the time corresponds to the driveway. Align the side ‘8-1-6’ of your Grid A with the driveway.
Grid A of your block of land will be the first one to check from the Feng Shui point of view. Look for any dead trees, where your bins are placed, where flowers are blooming – each and every details will have an influence on your life.

Grid B – On the plan of your apartment or house
Chi Kou is the entry door of your home/apartment as designed and defined by the architect and by your address. It is the door people would normally come and knock on when they don’t know you. I strongly encourage you to open that entry door at least once a day – especially for those of you who would use their back door which is not really good Feng Shui. Align the side ‘8-1-6’ of the Feng Shui Magic Square (Grid B) with your main entry door.
Grid B which gives you the opportunity to live and scan your Feng Shui inside. Place Grid B on one level of your house or apartment, for two levels, you will have another grid placement upstairs, at the top of your stairs which becomes your entry point upstairs.

Grid C- On each of your main Rooms
Yes, the Feng Shui grid can again be placed on each of your rooms, generally the main ones such as living room, rumpus, bedrooms. Always place the C-Grids aligning side ‘8-1-6’ with the entry of the room (if two entries, the widest or the most used is the one you’ll choose).
When placing C-Grids is when you strongly emphasise what you wish to manifest the most.

That means that all grids are on top of one another?!
Yes, indeed, they often have different entry door directions so they will easily overlap – to avoid confusion, simply stay focus on your each intent you have in mind while doing the adjustments for each grid and everything will be all right.

Intentions are your keys to success!

Please Note
One of my clients had enhanced her Romance sectors ‘2’ of her garden, home and of each rooms. She is a single mum with a young girl with special needs. She cannot imagine having a relationship with a man until her daughter is old enough to leave home one day… Nevertheless, she activated the energies in that part of all her grids! This lady does not socialise much at all and only goes out of home to school or for grocery shopping. During that time, she sees men smiling and sometimes talking to her. She never makes a step to keep in touch with them as she believes that a relationship for the next decade is impossible. – So, may I ask you… why activate Romance when you are not ready!? The grid offers 9 sectors to choose from and each opens doors to something new in life.

Roseline Deleu face photoFeng Shui always starts with common sense and logic. Activate energies and enhance your sectors only when you are ready to welcome its magic… because it can happen very fast!

Happy Feng Shui to you!

Place Grid on L shaped plan

Many readers have plans more complex than just a simple rectangle. Today, let’s see how you can place the Feng Shui Magic Square (grid) onto a “L” shaped plan following the Black Hat Feng Shui School principles. For the Black Hat school, your front door corresponds to the Chi Kou (mouth of the Chi) – no matter where you are in the world, your organs will always be placed at the same spot inside your body – hence why for the Black Hat placement the Chi Kou = your entry will always be in one of the 8 – 1 – 6 areas.

How to proceed and place the Ba Gua or Magic Square grid can be found in my E-book “Your First Easy Steps to Feng Shui” an easy to follow book filled with plenty of examples and tips.

liliane-plan-with-grid

This unit has 2 grids, the red one is the first one where Chi reaches. It is the principal grid. Second grid is the orange grid. Thus you have here 2 possibilities to adjust Feng Shui around your home, this is great!

Balconies are not included as they are outside the unit walls. They can be considered like your jacket pocket and can contain lots of interesting goodies 😉 … likewise on our balconies, we can add flowers and keep our entertaining areas clean and neat which all will contribute to activate Chi.

Feng Shui Yours,

Feng Shui – Intuitive Collage

Feng Shui intuitive collage

When you don’t know what to do anymore… when you think that you are stuck in life… it is perfect timing for an intuitive Feng Shui collage! 🙂

Group with collage w

You can do this by yourself or invite some friends over, they’ll bring their own magazines and you’ll mix them all together!

My recipe is simple:

1. – Answer my Feng Shui Life Quiz to determine which area(s) of your life needs a boost ! Email me roseline (at) fengshuisteps.com and ask me for your free copy of my Feng Shui Life Quiz. The 9 areas of my Feng Shui Life Quiz correspond each to a part of your life (just like the Magic Square of Feng Shui).

2. –   Where you scored the weakest points, prepare 5 affirmations for scores below 8 or 10 points. Yes, you may have more than one or two weak scores indeed! – so you may have to write 15 or 20 affirmations depending on what area of your life you decide to activate.
– Write each sentence with the idea of “TO BE” not “to have”, NO negative (so a positive sentence) AND in the present tense.
– Never write anything for others either by the way, this process is for YOU only, respect what others have on their path please.
– For example – for those of you who score low points in sector ‘4’ (Abundance) a good sentence would be “I enjoy spending wisely.” On the other hand “I will have a healthy bank account.” is incorrect because it contains the verb “to have” and it is in the future tense!
For those of you who struggle with their writings, feel free to write under this post and I’ll give you examples for re-wording your affirmations.

3. – Gather about 10 to 12 different magazines and play some nice happy music in the background.

4. – A large sheet of paper A3 or larger

5. – Glue stick and scissors.

111_1132

6. – You are now ready to start your collage. At the back of your A3 paper, write clearly each of your affirmations (as explained in point #2), date and sign under them as they are actually real promises that you are making to yourself!

7. – Then, read one resolution at the time and pick up one magazine, open it randomly and cut off the picture or a word that jumps at you (yes, the first thing that attracts your eye – NO, you don’t turn the pages, if you don’t find anything on that page, look at the front and back cover of your magazine). Close the magazine and place it back on the table.

8. – Read your second resolution, take another magazine and repeat the process (point #7).  Do this as many times as you need pictures to fill your paper (this means you may repeat reading your resolutions several times).

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colour9. – Then, when you have all those photos or words (this whole magazine cutting process would take maximum 30 minutes – because when you do something intuitively you do NOT read nor look anywhere else in the magazines – you take the photo that is there, on that page that you opened ! 😉  ), glue them all on the other side of your paper according to the magic square of Feng Shui that defines the various areas of your life.

10. Display your collage where you see it daily – many put it near their bed or in their bathroom.

The 3-leg Frog

3 leggered toad, 3-leggered frog, Alice Springs, attract money with feng shui, Canberra, feng shui consultation, feng shui placement, how to place a magic square, roseline deleu, three leggered frog, where is my money corner in my house

3 leggered frog“Dear Roseline, I have a question about my 3-leg toad… I am not sure where to place it, it’s challenging because I really like it!
My front door is West with the bathroom door facing it nearly across. My financial situation is unsustainable.
I need you! Thank you – Jane”

Dear Jane,

Thank you for your question, here are a few explanations easy to follow…

In Chinese Feng Shui, the 3-leg toad or frog is usually recommended to attract money. Many rules can be applied for a correct placement, so let’s look at those that would suit you – and many other readers too -:

  1. Place the 3-leg toad:
    either
    – near your front door, then the toad must be looking to the inside of the home (symbolising money entering)
    or
    – in your sector ‘4’ (Abundance), the toad will then be placed in a way that it will be looking at you when you enter that room
  2. In any case, avoid that your toad looks at the toilet/bathroom – then the money would only go ‘down the drains’
  3. Dust it off regularly and why not… talk to it!

For you Jane, I would thus recommend to move your toad to another spot and within the next 9 days you should start to feel a change in your finances.
Looking forward to reading your updated news 🙂

How can I attract more Friends and more Clients?

2014 feng shui best feng shui master, beads, contacting deceased, de-clutter, declutter, feng shui consultations, feng shui cure, feng shui reading, increase clients, marbels, material possessions, reconnect with friends, roseline deleu, to be or to have

Yes, indeed, that’s a good question! The Feng Shui art of placement can give you a few suggestions 🙂

Apply the Magic Square grid onto your premises and find out where the area corresponding to ‘Friends’ is located. This sector number 6 is usually either on the right hand side of your building in which case you enter into it – or – it is on the right hand side of your main entrance. It can be a room, part of a room or part of a couple of rooms. Just draw the lines onto your home plans without worrying about the walls.

Magic square in colourThis sector ‘6’ is the part of your home that relates to the element of Metal. Which means that for your decor, I would encourage you to choose touches of either grey, silver, gold, copper, or glitter in that room.

Further meaning for this ‘6’ sector is: Friends, Helpers, Clients, Connections, Travels and Movement. Yes this area is indeed very Yang, very active!

To attract new clients, new friends, new connections place a symbol of quantities in that room or on one of its walls.

For example: in your sector ‘6’, display a nice bowl with colourful beads or marbles (= quantities) in which you put your hand daily and mix them with the intent of welcoming new people. Would you ignore or forget about that bowl, it then stays static sadly collecting dust – then it won’t do the job!

Another example: on one of the walls of your ‘6’ area, place a photo or a collage of people walking towards you and see how many people start calling, visiting or connecting with you! It happens fast, you won’t need 9 days to see them appear.

To reconnect with old friends, family or acquaintances (alive or deceased), place a photo of the person next to freshly cut white flowers (symbolising your pure intent) in your sector ‘6’ and you may well hear from them, see them, get an unexpected mail or a phone call within the next few days. Placing the white fresh flower with a peaceful intent is important, this is part of respect. Would you place it with a impure intent, it will have a boomerang effect on you and you don’t really want that!

Now, let’s look into the word ‘Helpers’. It could well have two different meanings: either you are the one helping or you are the one seeking help. In both cases, write your wishes carefully (to help or to being helped) on a nice piece of paper without naming any specific person – that is important! Place that wish list under a round faceted crystal and see what happens.

AltarYou will notice on this colourful Magic Square illustration that your sector ‘6’ includes the idea of ‘Movement’ and ‘Travels’. Movement is life, changes are encouraged – otherwise you feed stagnation and depression. Friends and acquaintances come and go in our lives. We all know the adage “We meet people for a reason, a season or a life time”.

Ready for your next move in life? Take a look at that room occupying sector ‘6’ and de-clutter, change touches of your decor, update photos, get rid of all what you don’t really like anymore.

For those who are ready to travel, display a photo of your favourite destination and you may well be on your way very soon.

Feng Shui helps you to manifest what you wish in life, special experiences, good moments. It is about creating positive emotions TO BE happy not so much TO HAVE money or material possessions. This art of placement is accessible to everyone. I do my best each month to give you some tips and ideas how you can work Feng Shui easily in your home.

I am always happy to read from you, post your comments and question under this post.

Feng Shui… it’s like Weather Forecasts of your Life

Winds sat viewI believe Weather Forecast is the most interesting program that comes on our TV screens. It helps us planning when a cyclone approaches, gives us idea how and where rain will be falling soon, how plants and crops will potentially grow, etc. In other words, how survival is looking ahead.

Rain sat viewFeng is symbolically translated by Air & Wind, in Shui expressing Water & Rain… how can we contextualise this in our daily lives, in our homes?

When we look at a satellite view of Wind (Feng) we see it swirls, curls sometimes rapidly. When we check the precipitations (Shui), rain washes some areas, feeds vegetation, fills rivers, erodes lands, re-shapes landscapes.

Let’s take a satellite view of each of our homes and let’s open our imagination how the energy of Wind and Water are flowing in our surroundings? Oh, no, I need to re-word this… from the satellite you won’t be seeing all the details because you won’t be zooming too close to avoid looking at some of your clutter. Let’s say, we are going to look at your home from above, a bit closer, from a bird’s eye point of view.

You are the bird, flying above your home, there is no roof and you look at the inside of the place. You can see how the Wind (Feng) is flowing, which door, which window can open and bring fresh air inside the place. Where (Feng) Wind can’t go, there is a block – could be where a pile of clutter is hiding in a corner, a door that never opens.

You then look where Water (Shui) flows, from bathroom, laundry and kitchen taps, escaping through the drains. But Water is also when you wash your floors, making your home clean and renewing its inner energies. Water is part of washing your curtains, your bedding, your bodies, your hair, your teeth. Water purifies.

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colourWith both Feng and Shui in mind, place now an imaginary 9 square grid (align 8-1-6 with your front door) onto your premises and still, like that little bird looking from above, where is Wind (Feng) or Water (Shui) challenged?

You keep your toilet seat open all the time? Your flow will escape through this open mouth, so will your opportunities in life.

You never use your front door and come in through the laundry? You bring in the flow of stagnant dirty wash inside the place.

Your home symbolises your life: look at the bigger picture. Today is the result of choices and decisions you made until now. Tomorrow will be what you decide to change right now. Altering the Chi flow inside your home and it will affect the Chi flow of your mind.

Look at the bigger picture… Where do you see yourself in 3 months time, in 6 months, in a year? Uplift the energies in the area of the Magic Square where you need a ‘push’ by de-cluttering and adding photos and posters of your dreams and they will soon come true.

yin yang symbol applied to magic squareSome people naively believe that one visit of a Feng Shui consultant is enough to have their life sorted.
It certainly starts the process and can bring amazing changes.
More importantly is is essential to understand that after your consultant visit, it is your role to keep that flow in harmony!

– Keep reviewing your place with ‘Feng Shui’ eyes
– Manage your de-cluttering
– Look for broken items and repair them

My best advice: change something in your home weekly!

For example:
– one week, change the colour of your cushion covers,
– another week, move your photo frames around,
– the third week rearrange inside a cupboard,
– the 4th week go through that huge pile of paper work that you keep pushing away
– 5th week, clear all your crystals,
etc…

How better can you be, filling all those love hearts for each couple and family members. The white one was her parents, then her and her sisters + their husbands, then the grand children and their husbands and finally the great grand children are coming soon.

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colourShe placed it in sector ‘3’ of her home corresponding to “Respect, Elders, Family, Health” (sector ‘3’ is represented in green on this grid, align 8-1-6 with the front entry of your home to find out where yours is located).

And you… what do you have on display in that sector? Something honouring your family would be great.

Happy Feng Shui!
