Roseline Deleu and Jan Corrinhttp://www.NEW BLOG for Author Jan Corrin: www.authorjancorrin.wordpress.com

An attractive cover that hides much more than a book for young children of the 21st century!
Its more important message is that crystals are not just pretty things to be chosen and then forgotten about. They are much more than this.

From the time the children display their first reaction or show an interest in crystals to when they are older and can read to follow suggestions and activities for themselves. The initial ‘show and tell’ of the parents is followed by them reading brief explanations of how crystal energies and our own interact. Children are asked to look at why and how they decide a particular crystal is one for them.

Information and ideas offered in this book are meant to lead the child to develop their inquiring and creative nature. Included are games to play that develop memory and perceptual skills. Short meditations are included to bring healing, develop visualization , focus and concentration.

This crystal guide with pictures and information about 30 crystals. The chosen crystals are reasonably easy to find and all suitable for children to work with.

“Rainbow Crystals for Children” by Janette (Jan) Corrin will provide many hours of interest, learning and fun… for the whole family!

Purchase your copy through Balboa Press

P.S. I’m reading Jan’s book for the moment and I thoroughly love it!

Discover Tess Graham (Breatheability) in 11 Questions

Roseline and TessRoseline Deleu (Feng Shui Steps.com) interviews
Tess Graham (Breatheability.com)

  1. Please TESS, tell our readers briefly WHEN, HOW, WHERE or in WHICH circumstances we met?
I met Roseline through another business owner at the time when I was developing my breathing training centre in Canberra Australia – a unique physiotherapy practice in that all the focus was on helping people with breathing-related problems. It was a new concept and Roseline’s talents and intuition in making things work were a great help.

2. Since then, could you share what is the most interesting Feng Shui result that you have experienced?
Moving things (objects and furniture) around, allows new energy to come in and increased clarity of thinking. Things happen!

Tess Graham3. Let’s talk more about you now Tess… Tell us a little about yourself and your business
I had always wanted to work in an area that helped people achieve and maintain good health and fitness. That’s why I studied health sciences and physiotherapy.

20 years ago in my search to help two of my children who had chronic asthma, I came upon some fundamental information and research about breathing that was outside what is traditional physiotherapy practice. It freed my children from asthma. I studied several breathing methods, in particular that which was the development of a medical doctor from Russia -Prof Konstantin Buteyko. I then established my breathing training business.

4. What are the five words that people would use to describe BreatheAbility.com?
Commonsense – Education – Change – Relief – Life changing

breatheability Wave pattern LOGO5. What was the purpose on starting your BreatheAbility business and how has the concept come about?
I wanted to share the knowledge and skills of better breathing with as many people as possible. I wanted no other mother to experience what I had while I watched my children struggle to breathe. I wanted people to know that the key to true health, restful sleep and vibrant energy was getting their breathing right.

6. What are the most common issues of people who come to see you for advice?
The most common issues I help people with are snoring, sleep apnoea, insomnia, asthma, COPD, nasal problems, chronic mouth breathing, anxiety and panic disorder, fatigue conditions and athletes looking for enhanced sports performance. In the corporate world, the main issues are workplace absenteeism and poor productivity related to poor quality sleep.

breatheability_white[1] (2) - Copy7. Tell us more about your services that you provide to your clients?
The major part of my work today is speaking and training – public, professional association, healthcare organisations or corporate seminars and workshops. I also do training for health professionals wanting a career in breathing education. I only take a limited number of clients per year for one-on-one breathing retraining.

8. Tell us about your process for working with clients?
When a client comes to see me for the first time I take a detailed health and symptom history and assess and observe their baseline breathing pattern. From this assessment I can identify where their breathing pattern differs from the ‘physiological normal’ way to breathe and explain to my client the likely contribution their faulty breathing habits have made to the symptoms they are experiencing. There are usually several  ‘ah ha’ moments because for many this is a commonsense explanation of what is behind the breathing-related problems that trouble them, and explains the difficulties or failures they may have had with other approaches. I then decide what is the first change or two that are required and start on them immediately. Changing your breathing is actually relatively easy – you are breathing all the time anyway so you can start doing it in a better way immediately. It is as natural as taking your next breath… differently!

9. What advice can you offer to people who are just discovering BreatheAbility?
It is important that we value breathing. It is the most fundamental function of the human body and over 90% of people make a poor job of it. The simplest things in life are often the best : changing the way you breathe yourself, has to beat having a machine or medication do it for you. At Breatheability International, we believe that getting your breathing right is the foundation of true health and well-being.

10. Do you have a book/CD that you would like to recommend?
In 2012 I published a book “Relief from Snoring and Sleep Apnoea” : a step-by-step guide to restful sleep and better health through changing the way you breathe (Penguin Books). It is a practical guide to improving your breathing and getting relief from breathing-related problems. It has a 5 Day program that is quick, easy to follow and effective.

While it is specifically written for people with sleep-breathing issues, the information and strategies there for improving breathing may also be of help to people with asthma, breathlessness, persistent cough, nasal problems, insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks and other breathing-related disorders.

I have also produced an audio CD as companion to the book “Breathing Exercise Instruction CD” which guides you through the breathing retraining techniques. Although the instructions are also in the book, listening to those sections on the Audio is, as many have said, “Like having Tess in the room teaching you”>

The book and CD are available from my website www.BreatheAbility.com

11 . Where do we find your services? (list office, links websites & contact)
Those interested in one of our training courses and workshops (public or professional) or in having me speak at an event can contact us through the website or + 61 (0)2 81881343. Our office is based in Canberra Australia – we travel worldwide.

Thank you Tess! Roseline Deleu www.fengshuisteps.com

Feng Shui location of your Kitchen

Kitchen and DiningWhere is your kitchen located and what does this imply?
Follow the Black Hat school of Feng Shui and place this magic square grid aligning the side 8-1-6 with your main entrance, then divide your home plan into 9 equal areas (without worrying about your walls, this means that one room might well be occupying more than one area).Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colour

Area 1 = Avoid having kitchen in area 1 as you are putting ‘Fire’ in the “Water”. If so, add metal appliances and choose when possible black finishes. A wooden kitchen is a total ban in this case!

Area 2 = When the kitchen is in area 2 and the layout of the stove is in the power position (cook looking at the entering Chi), you should have a great relationship/marriage.

Area 3 & 4 = Add a transparent vase with fresh flowers or an ornament with fresh water for example a little indoor water fountain to see your wealth, abundance and health thrive

Area 5 = The kitchen area in the centre of the house is considered auspicious as long as there is proper ventilation and natural light

Area 6 = The “Fire” might be melting the ‘Metal’ this means that you might not be traveling as much as you’d really like or not getting as many visitors as hoped. To improve this, paint the room an earthy colour or choose this time of shades for your tiles. A white kitchen is always good.

Area 7 = You might be struggling to become pregnant when the kitchen is in sector 7. The same applies for putting your ideas and project into action. Add fresh white flowers on your workbench and a touch of black decor is very welcome too. Avoid wooden finishes though!

Area 8 = with the kitchen in that location you will see yourself opening up to the spiritual world and being guided. It is an good location for children’s good studies at school as long as their desk in their study is in the power position – which means with a full wall behind their back and looking at the entering Chi.

Area 9 = Good for well being except when the kitchen has an excess of wood or fire which means no read nor wooden kitchen that could encourage problems with hyper tension and heart conditions.

Types of Chi

chi, types of Chi

Chi is a life essence, a motivating force. It animates all things. This word could also be a synonym of cosmic breath or energy. Chi is also the most important component of Feng Shui.

3 different types of Chi influence our lives:

a)      Chi animates our bodies
The quality of our personal Chi can be improved with daily exercises, good food and a balanced life

b)      Chi circulates in the earth
Ley LinesThe earth energies influence our health. Underground water veins and ley lines have to be detected before completing a physical healing process.  This is why dowsing and water divining are part of my Feng Shui teaching and consulting.

c)      Chi permeates the universe
We cannot change our time of birth nor the stars in the sky at that particular moment. Feng Shui relates this to Heaven Chi. In order to help us achieve life change, I consider our heaven on earth and relate it mainly to our home, sometimes to our office and daily surroundings. Placing our furniture to promote a gentle Chi flow alters our lives for the better. If your astrology forecasts an accident on a particular day, having a correct Chi flow around you will decrease the strength of your life lesson and for example, you might just twist your ankle rather than crashing your new car.

sad and happyEach kind of Chi influences the other. All of us possess a personal Chi (we are not only flesh and bones). We vibrate; our aura expands and retracts depending on our health and moods. Our cells continually regenerate, yet our basic self is the same, that constant self is our personal Chi. Chi is the essence maintaining our physical and emotional balance, our environmental stability and the universal equilibrium.

Chi flows fast, slow, up, down, high low, in, out. It also rises, falls, sinks, floats, bends, twists, curves, inflates, and deflates.

Chi travels along curves, waves, spirals, mazes, labyrinths or straight lines. It pulses through electrical fields and disperses with the wind.

‘Bad’ Chi
Negative Chi is called Sha Chi. Chi becomes Sha Chi when it carries unfavourable currents that will affect you negatively. Sha Chi drips. It oozes through cracks, holes, broken windows and chipped items. It accumulates and stagnates in dead corners and sharp angles. Sha Chi is aggravated by bad smells, too bright lights and loud irritating noises. Sha Chi can be felt, sensed, smelled, heard and tasted. It is dangerous, sharp, rotten, contaminated, polluted, toxic and painful. It can be internal or external, hidden or apparent and it affects physical, mental, spiritual and social conditions.  Sha Chi is also produced on a grand scale by geographical faults and fissures in the earth.

Always follow your common sense, cultural preferences and power position choices.

When you have a more informal meeting ensure you sit in the power position. This will allow your opinion and ideas to be appreciated.
