Chi (pronounced chee) is the most important component of Feng Shui. Chi is life essence, a motivating force that animates all things. Chi could also be referred to as cosmic breath, energy, life force or prana. It maintains our physical and emotional balance, our environmental stability and universal equilibrium.

Our personal Chi
The first type of Chi animates our bodies. Each one of us possesses a personal Chi for we are not only flesh and bones! We vibrate. Our aura expands and retracts depending on our health and moods. Our cells continually regenerate yet our basic self is the same. That constant self is our personal Chi. The quality of our personal Chi can be enhanced with daily exercise, good food and a balanced way of living. If our Chi is blocked and not flowing, it will be reflected in our posture, moods, movements, the way we speak, appear and behave.

As ‘energy beings’ we vibrate. Depending on our health and moods, our aura will contract or expand.

Earth Chi
The second type of Chi circulates, spirals and meanders in the earth. If it moves near the surface of the earth, land appears fertile the weather is mild, the trees and vegetation grow, water and air quality is fresher and clearer. This is the optimum area to build a home. Wherever Chi recedes from the surface of the earth, nothing grows and desert landscape forms.

These Earth energies influence our health. Just like our bodies, the Earth has energy meridians and vortexes equivalent to what we know in acupuncture, chakra balancing and energy points.

Some earth energies can affect our health. Underground water veins and ley lines have to be discovered to complete a physical healing process. Dowsing and water divining are an important part of the Feng Shui study to find the best possible environment to live in.

The effect of ley lines and underground water veins can be seen in nature through how trees appear. Twisted trees could show that they are growing on ley line; branches pointing downwards reveal an underground water vein.

Heaven Chi
Chi permeates the universe. We cannot change the position of the stars and planets in the sky nor the time of that particular moment where we were born. Feng Shui relates this with Heaven Chi. Look at the concept of heaven being on earth and relate it to our homes, office and usual surroundings, by placing our furniture to promote a gentle Chi flow we can affect our lives for the better!

When your astrology reading forecasts a potential accident on a particular time of your life, having the correct Chi flow around you should decrease the severity of your life lesson and you might just twist your ankle rather than crashing your brand new car!

feng shui for love, feng shui steps, feng shui tip for love, romance, romantic setting, roseline deleu, set up a romantic space

Each and every one of us has different ideas of what “Romantic” means… What is your preference? For some it might be a real current experience, a memory of a time past or a creation in your imagination… A week-end in Tuscany with a lovely meal surrounded by candle lights? A skating rink bustling with laughter and graceful movement in Central Park?  A picture a backyard patio… a table perfectly set for 2?

Subtle music is a perfect complement to a gentle splashing of water into a pond in the left hand corner. Scents of roses and lavender are curiously wafting from the cottage garden to the right and the focal point is an elegant statue of a couple embraced as if at anytime they would come to life and continue that dance…

Romance is all about the feeling that is in your heart expressed in a space that supports that feeling. In truth, when the feeling is there, the setting can be anywhere. The perfect reflection of the experience of love is the setting that compliments that feeling within.

When designing that Romantic space, where do we start?
How can we create that mood, atmosphere, ambiance, intimacy?

Be clear of your intention ~ what is your purpose for your creation?

Define the space ~ define the scale of the area in relation to the items you want to place in it. If you want to set a table for dining, a dance floor, allow the space you need.

Lighting ~ are you relying on natural daylight or creating an evening event. Select lighting that is adequate for the mood and safety in the evening. Create shade if that enhances the desired effect.

Intimacy ~ that coziness that subconsciously dilutes other potential distractions: canopies, drapes, flowering pots, lighting, heating, candles are all options that, when strategically placed will draw and focus the energy within your 3 dimensional air space.

Music ~ to taste and at the ideal volume will enhance the experience rather than compete with it.

Timing ~ preparation is the key. Give plenty of notice for your event. Allow ample time to set up, and relax. Have the food and drinks ready to serve. Eliminate interruptions.

BECOME the outcome!

This can happen more often than just for Valentine’s Day or Anniversaries.

Feng Shui suggestion to rejuvenate Faith

When Jo told me how disappointed he was about the drinking habit of his son-in-law, I gently brought to his awareness that with his own thoughts, he was feeding the consciousness that wanted the son in law to drink. Jo looked at me puzzled.

I then suggested him a Feng Shui tip in order to re-activate faith in Geoff, his son-in-law. Jo didn’t even have to talk to him, simply he would hang a picture of his daughter and son-in-law taken at the time when he still had faith in Geoff and appreciated him. That was a few years ago.
That same afternoon, Jo displayed a lovely picture of his daughter’s wedding in his lounge room.

Two weeks later, when I saw Jo, he shared: “Guess what!? Geoff has decided to join AA (Alcoholic Anonymous) ! And my daughter now goes to her local gym while the kids are at school, she already lost 8 kilos.” Jo was happy, a big smile on his face: “That picture made a difference!”

Lesson: The more you think and blame of someone being alcoholic, the more you send out a vibration that reinforces this negative idea towards that person.
Once, you remove this negative thought, it immediately lifts the burden. The other person can then move on.

Remember: Only surround yourself with items that inspire you!

Dear Roseline, After cleaning my home on Saturday and preparing for our dinner party, I closed a drawer and a photo fell on one of my many Buddha’s and smashed it to pieces. After the shock I put the pieces in a bowl with some rock salt and burnt some incense is there anything else I need to do as a cure for this incident? The photo was of my husband’s son who committed suicide several years ago, what are your thoughts about this? Thank you—Sandra

Dear Sandra, When I tune into the consciousness that you describe, I feel that your husband’s son has progressed and is now at Peace. People committing suicide can ‘hover’ along for a while before going to the Light. It is time to thank the Buddha for this sign and discard the broken pieces in the bin. Let it go. It is a good omen after all! Kind regards, Roseline

Dear Roseline, Thank you so much – I feel at peace with the breakage now and I know my husband will be feeling better – even though it is a long time since Jack past, you always wonder about them being at peace when they take their own life. Thank you so much I cannot tell how much your email meant to me. Care and peace be with you! –  Sandra

This story happened a few years ago and as I am about to go and wash my lovely car, it reminded me that it was a good idea to share this with you…

Donna is one of my Feng Shui Practitioners living on the Sunshine Coast (Australia), here is her story:

Roseline, I’d like to tell you about great results from Australia Day just past.  My eldest son is busy saving for his overseas trip in 2010.  As a part of his savings plan he has taken on cab driving as a form of extra income. He called me on Australia Day, after leaving at 4.30am expecting  many fares and… stated how incredibly quiet it has been all morning.

As a result of my training and using  Feng Shui tools on a daily basis, I suggested he cleaned the windows of the cab, with attention, good intents, care and love while waiting for his next fare.  Not long after he texts back ‘Thanks Mum, awesome things are happening now’ and he continued to be busy for the rest of that day and in fact in subsequent shifts blessings of all shapes and sizes appeared.

Love and care can be applied to every part of our lives, whether it be at home, at work, in the classroom, wherever we are and whatever we do, as stated here, even for taxis ! Welcome Feng Shui into your life e v e r y day and feel some exciting and wonderful results for yourself! Donna 🙂

Note from Roseline – Donna’s son went to his trip to Europe and had a fantastic time! Windows and windscreen symbolise the ‘eyes’, your view on life.

Hop, hop, hop, my time to go out and happily clean my car now. I welcome all new opportunities that this will bring to me.

Fertility – IVF and… or… FENG SHUI ?

alternative for IVF, dowsing, feng shui and fertility, feng shui babies, feng shui baby, feng shui for pregnancy, fertility, ivf, miscarriages, pregnancy

Meet two of my Feng Shui Babies… Many couples nowadays struggle with their fertility. Processed and genetically modified food don’t help! What and how all this is affecting us, doctors still don’t know for sure.

For many years now, I have been called to homes to consult for clients who want to enhance Love, Wealth, Health, and Harmony into their lives. During my visit, I SEE and FEEL their lives and their homes TALK to me. Then, clients open up and many have shared with me their lack of fertility and their struggle with IVF. During the IVF process, women and men loose often self confidence, the couple can go through challenging times… they opt for IVF because it seems to be the popular way to go. What else is out there?

STORY in BELGIUM
Katia as on IVF when she emailed me her house plans in 2005. She had already gone through miscarriages and was wondering if I could suggest her anything. I map dowsed her home and found lots of underground water veins running under their bed. I suggested to move for a few months in the spare bedroom. Katia became pregnant within the 2 months that followed the move. They stayed in the spare room until their baby girl was born.

I saw them in Europe in 2009, and again, Katia went on IVF—nothing seemed to happen. This time, I was there… and physically dowsed their home where I found underground water veins, then she reminded me of those I traced on her plans and had sent her a few years ago. Amazing, they were at the same place! They were sleeping in the same bedroom that the one where they struggled a few years before! Early May 2009, I told her to either change bedroom again this time or suggested her some other Feng Shui solutions. In September 2009 she happily announced me her new pregnancy! It happened so fast. A gorgeous baby boy was born in Feb 2010, healthy and happy as you can see in the picture of all us.

I only shared here with one of the many stories of my Feng Shui Babies.

May I suggest to look into booking your personalised Feng Shui consultation. This will in NO mean replace your doctor’s diagnose! With Feng Shui, you might need NO hormones injections, NO moods changes! Just my visit to assess your home and more specifically dowse your master bedroom for health purposes. Then, the correct placement of some cures help you welcome a baby into your life as soon as you are ready. What is the best that can happen?… A pregnancy appearing within the next few weeks! When you are desperate you would try anything, and this is not much health risk involved.

A Feng Shui Consultation with me is a life changing experience. Roseline Deleu, international Feng Shui Master, Consultant and best-selling author http://www.fengshuisteps.com/index.html

Mih Mih Spirits, who are they?

I have been privileged to meet and to be inspired by Steven Guth for the past 15 years and have high respect for his Feng Shui approach. Today, I choose to share one of Steven’s articles about the Mih Mih Spirits (MiMis) – this will give you new and other insights… and help you find your keys…
Since I discovered the Mimi Spirits, I do use and play with them tuning into choosing correct Feng Shui adjustments for homes. Interacting with the unseen can make your environment more harmonious, enhancing smooth relationships and improving health and… helping to find my car keys when ‘I’ misplaced them.

Roseline Deleu, international Feng Shui Master & Author http://www.fengshuisteps.com/index.html

Mih Mih Spirits, who are they? – by Steven O. Guth

– “Yesterday, in the morning, on the veranda.”
– “What?” I asked.
– “Mimis” replied Lyzz, “Little spirit shapes full of mischief.”
– “Are they Aboriginal – like you?”
– “No, they are Australian.”
– “Show me.”
– “OK, next time I visit you; your house is full of them.”
Lyzz did show me and that started my study of Mimis. That was ten years ago.

I guess there are two rules about Mimis (also spelled Mih Mihs):
1. They are shape shifters.
2. They are mostly found in places where earth energies leak out from the ground.

Mimis live together with people, mixing themselves in with their lives.  Boredom is their problem and they will create mischief  and in fact do almost anything to keep themselves occupied.

You can almost hear them saying, “Let’s get Steven to lose his car keys.” So when I put down the keys they cloud over my mind. In minutes I forget where I put them. So I start looking, and look and look. “…gee that’s fun, he’s swearing – that’s great.”

Mimis are not quite Gnomes.

Lyzz was right, they are Australian. They live above ground in energy streams. Gnomes live underground and find it hard to manifest above ground. Gnomes hate light, Mimis don’t seem to mind at all. They are not quite Elves of Fairies either, and I’ve never sensed them anywhere else in the world.

Like Gnomes, Mimis love to play with children and household pets.

Mimis are shape shifters, that’s one way they play their games. “Did he say he was scared of hairy ghosts? We’ll pile together and make him one, and when he goes to bed tonight …” Or they can make themselves into dark and evil beings, or cute little fairy babies. May Gibbs with her cute Gumnut Babies and evil Banksia Men linked a generation of Australian children to their neighbourhood Mimis.

Canberra has lots of escaping ground energies.  They are usually strongest in the in the Woden area and weakest in the newer parts of Gungahlin. Perhaps one in three houses has significant ground energy flow. Maybe your house too?

Our Canberra house is Mimi infested (is that the right word?) Perhaps we are living on an old high energy Aboriginal site. Our Mimis may have been sharing our space with humans for thousands upon thousands of years. They seem to like interacting with people, which maybe why I can almost hear them speak. The previous owners of our house drank lots; there was much social drinking with a private bar and a dance floor. Yes, they can influence people to do that… or to take drugs, or to argue. Anything, moral or immoral, to create activity and stop boredom.

With help we have got them to do useful things – to look after our pet dogs, tell us when plants need watering and play with the four children that live in the house.

Just before sunset is ‘silly time’ when the kids race around the corridors with a flock of Mimis running and dancing alongside. The Mimis like story time too, books are a puzzle and of course they can’t read. May Gibbs must have been popular bed time reading.

Create your own powerful Feng Shui Mobile

Over all my Feng Shui years, I have gathered many new ideas to create powerful Feng Shui ‘magic’ within your Décor. A few years ago I visited an Art expo in Belgium where I saw a large size illustration of an idea that works really well; so I decided to guide you to Make-Your-Own powerful FENG SHUI MOBILE.

THE RECIPE

A. Collect leaves (possibly softly curved) of a tree in your garden or in your neighbourhood. While choosing the tree, ask the Universe to show you the tree(s) that will help you with this process. Connect with your ‘new friend’ hugging it and thanking it for the leaves that you can gather. Tell it the purpose of the new use of its leaves. Be aware that you are bringing its energies in your home and there fore this connection is important.

B. Dry the leaves:  remove all damp and moisture of each leave by placing them FLAT in between Canson paper (we call this paper ‘buvard’ in French). It is a strong, thick absorbing flat paper. Once placed in between  the papers, the flat individual leaves have to be pressed. A few heavy phone directories might be doing the job if you do not have a press handy. Remember to be creative, Feng Shui makes you think outside the square and find solutions without going to buy anything!

C. Paint each leaf individually. After a few weeks of drying flat between the absorbing paper, the moist should be out of the leaves. They are now ready to be painted and receive their new purpose. Some of them even might have a few little ‘holes’ making a leaf look like lace. These are wonderful art treasures now!
While carefully painting them, keep your intent in mind—for example: “this mobile enhances Chi flow” (general purpose) OR “each leaf  helps creating a new idea” (then place it in sector 7 and paint leaves white, light grey or metal colours). Etc…
Choosing various shades of soft pastels pinks and displayed in your sector ‘2’ when finished will… YES! Enhance LOVE.

D. Glue leaves in rows and hang them with a clip on a fishing line on a circular or a square bamboo support.

E. Display your mobile inside your home in the area where you need ‘movement’. Change its placement regularly for more results.

Q. Why is it important to choose leaves from a tree in your neighbourhood?
A. It is always more powerful to use the Nature that surrounds you as it already vibrates with a known energy that you can subtly manage to your advantage.

Q. Aren’t these dried leaves ‘dead’ energy?
A. Because you have asked permission to the tree and have processed these leaves with Love and positive intent creating your Feng Shui mobile, they are ‘charged’ with ‘a mission’. The movement created with the mobile will help manifesting your wishes.

Send me your feed back and photos of the mobiles that you have created.

Good Feng Shui Bin

bin, feng shui garbage bin, feng shui light, light

Today I’d like to share with you an unusual light that I saw at one of my client’s. Her husband is very creative and has built a ‘bin light‘: a light bulb inserted into a brand new plastic bin.

Initially I thought it was a challenging place to display it in the “Love, Marriage & Relationship” area (sector 2 of the magic square) of their home – it was subtly reflecting something…

Speaking with clients is essential before starting my Feng Shui consultation and I understood that there were a few beliefs to ‘throw in the bin’ in order to improve this relationship. So, we did!

We did not move nor remove the bin light but we looked into the lady client’s beliefs and doubts while reorganising the Chi flow and decor inside the whole house. The positive effects of our conversation combined with our Feng Shui ‘make-over’ were felt within the next few hours. My client shifted her beliefs, her fears, her doubts and when her husband came home that afternoon, she was happily surprised with his lovely mood and encouraging words.

In my previous posts, I already mentioned how important the intent is when you proceed with a Feng Shui change/adjustment. Here too… The bin is still in sector 2 and the relationship has improve tremendously because we did not focus on the problems that were there, together we found outlets and suggestions and in addition, we moved furniture, changed photos and frames on display, removed a few items and more importantly, we worked on the Feng Shui on the Mind too!

Understanding and acknowledging a challenge is already moving forward to finding your own solutions! Accompany those good intentions with the Feng Shui changes and all is well – very fast!

I used to say to my students that they would reap the results within 9 days… Today with the Yang (active) energies of 2012, when my powerful Feng Shui is combined with focus and good intents, results happens withing hours! Freeky? No – really great !

Let the magic of Feng Shui help you in your home and get in a better life.

Second Hand & Vintage Clothes

clearing bad energies, memories stored in clothes, second hand clothes, second hand clothing, vintage clothes

In this little series of posts on ‘energy clearing’, let’s look into the memories and vibrations of second hand clothing.

To get rid of the energies stored in second hand clothes, definitely wash them before wearing. Buying leather or suede clothes are more difficult to cleanse as perspiration together with memories cannot be washed out; put those items regularly in the full moon.

Would you be wearing clothes of someone you know or knew, ask yourself how much of the memories linked with this person are you ‘carrying’ with you when they are on you? Then, respect yourself and decide if this feels right or not. When souvenirs and memories are good, keep them; on the other hand if they are making you suffer, question if you really want to hang onto them?

For further reading about clearing energy off your 2nd hand or vintage jewelry, furniture and more, read my last few days posts.

I welcome your questions and comments!
