Landscaping your Feng Shui Garden

Applying the right Feng Shui principles in your home and garden offers inner peace, clear thinking and often results in more money!

When designing a garden, I consult with the home owner, we look into their lives and we focus on what they wish to achieve. Are there any “must haves?” Perhaps a garden seat and a lovely water feature!

Based on the Feng Shui grid, I suggest ideas to rebalance the missing areas on the block of land. Together we look where and how the block is situated in the street, which direction does it face? Is the block sloping? What is the style of the house and what sort of garden design would perfectly fit there.

There are many ways of creating a lush, green hideaway that suit your needs, perhaps an area to entertain friends and family, a play area for children, or, maybe that quiet, private spot in which to relax. Wether you are a person who prefers to sit back and watch someone else create your dream garden or you are a DIY person who requires some practical assistance to design and create your dream garden, I can help.

Poison Arrow in Feng Shui

Are you feeling threatened? Maybe there is a “poison arrow” challenging you?

Chi meanders and travels in curves. When it is forced into a straight line, it acts like a “bullet” from a gun or an “arrow” from a bow that threatens to wound anything at the receiving end. Feng Shui strives to protect a space or site from these “poison arrows”.

Urban environments are filled with poison arrows, as most cities and structures are built on the principles of straight lines. Road, driveways, pathways, walkways and sidewalks are usually straight. Building are crowded together so their roof lines point at each other. There is a profusion of corners, walls, poles, television antennas, billboards, tunnels, railroad tracks, trees, signposts, crosses on churches, and other straight or angular features capable of producing poison arrows.

Any straight line leading towards the front door of a house, directs Sha Chi (bad energy or bad luck) to the site. Straight lines that lead directly towards a main entry or that come almost to the entry and then turn to make a sharp angle are especially dangerous as they combine the effects of Sha and poison arrows. The energy becomes confused and congested.

Inside, straight lines come from the corners of other desks, cabinets or tables anc can also come from long, narrow corridors or from the corners of hallways. These straight lines or secret arrows stab anything in their path, creating a feeling of pressure, tension , conflict and anxiety.

Make sure no straight lines, sharp angles, or points are directed toward your desk, bed, major sitting area and of course surely not toward your front door.

It is fairly easy to find and protect a space from poison arrows. If you can, remove the arrow. If it is not architecturally or logically possible, create a barrier between you and the arrow. Use artwork, plants, objects, pots, boxes or anything that is appropriate to the space and is pleasing to you.

You can also neutralize, deflect and send the arrow back to its source by placing a mirror with the reflective side towards the offending angle. The best shield is an element that controls the element of the arrow. If you cannot move, shield, deflect or cover the arrow, move your body to a less vulnerable space.

I work as from home as a therapist. My business was a little bit too slow for the last few weeks so, I decided to have a look what Feng Shui could possibly do to enhance my business.

I studied Feng Shui with Roseline Deleu and I remember her telling us (quite often) that the entrance was the first step to start Feng Shuying your house. I had a look outside and decided to trim the bush overgrowing on the clinic walkway.

Within the hour following this little ‘trim’, I got three unexpected appointments that perfectly fitted in my schedule.

I am always amazed how only one Feng Shui change can affect my life so quickly and so positively!

Is “4” a bad number?

27 Wednesday Jun 2012

To Asian people mainly from Chinese origin, the number 4 is bad luck as in Chinese ‘four’ is written and sounds like the word ‘death’. Streets in Hong Kong have no number 4 house and in elevators you see 3rd floor and then 5th floor. No 4th floor! Definitely for them 4 is bad luck.

To non-Asian background people, this seems just like a very superstitious belief. Our past, history and cultures are different. To me number four is on the contrary very auspicious. In the Ba Gua it represents ‘Abundance, Wealth and Money’. What would you prefer? Keeping the superstition of the different cultures or focus on positivity and what this can offer you?

The home that you have chosen has a lesson to teach you, it represents you today. A home with a good vibration is stable and secures energy. It symbolizes solid foundations and protection. If you have been experiencing instability and uncertainty in your life, move in a ‘4’ house. In this house you will find your roots and plant the seeds of your dreams.

So a ‘4’ home is not bad at all! Always look at the bright side of Feng Shui!

Feng Shui your Lingerie

Have you ever thought of looking inside your lingerie draws with Feng Shui eyes?

As we all know, the first and essential Feng Shui key is the “de-cluttering” process! Oh, yes, we constantly think of what we scan daily in our surroundings, the décor and books lying around – but there is more!

Today it is time to check your lingerie, those intimate pieces of clothes that you wear so close to your body. They can make us feel good and comfortable, even sexy. On the other hand, when we decide to put that old comfy bra with curled and worn out bra straps, we immediately feel older and daggy. Why do we hang onto those ‘tired’ underwear? We wonder don’t we? We actually deserve to be elegant and feel good on a daily basis.

Let’s get into those draws and get rid of the daggy underwear that we no longer want to wear nor being seen in!

Memories

Would you still keep old lingerie that reminds you of (a) past relationship(s)? How do you feel wearing it with a new partner? Maybe it is time to let go of those memories and toss the underwear linked with them at the same time.

Size changes

Only keep lingerie that is still your size today. You were a size 12 B ten years ago and have been challenged with your hormones lately… now you fit comfortably a size 14 D… why keep the 12B that doesn’t fit anymore? Every body is a beautiful body. Accept, show, present your curves today with lovely lingerie that fits your taste today. Accept the new size of your body.

Out with the Old and in with the New

For those who are single, sorting their lingerie will often see a new Love appearing. Purchase a red robe, babydoll or bra set for passion. Choose pink for Love. Blue will help with communication.

Women love shopping and definitely will enjoy receiving this Feng Shui encouragement that will lead them to progress in their well-being and self confidence!

“Dream Man” Wish List come true

When I listened to Roseline’s enthusiastic lecture on “Feng Shui for Love” last month, I could not wait to implement some of her suggestions. I bought her book and read it the same evening. The week-end was the perfect time to change things around the house and two days later… I started getting results.

I have always been wishing to meet a man and wrote 7 years ago 5 qualities I would like to find in him. Since, I had not been very lucky and met some who had only one or two. After my Feng Shui adjustments, a male colleague invited me for dinner and guess what ! He has the 5 qualities that are important to me. It was a simple and nice dinner, no romance yet (future will tell) but I am so wrapped of the Feng Shui Magic that I can only encourage people to apply Roseline Deleu’s tips too.

That is not all… I was not feeling too confident at work and was not coping very well. I adjusted my ‘1’ and ‘9’ sectors of the house and instead of being the next one on the list for being made redundant, I now feel that I know what I am doing and am getting daily compliments, recognition and acknowledgements.
