Add the letter ‘A’ onto your Life
Change your PLACE into your P A L A C E and start looking at life differently.

Your home is the reflection of what you are living right now. You constantly scan your surroundings, are they looking happy and bright? Do you struggle with relationships? Are you willing to change career and you hesitate to take steps? Your emotional health is challenged and affects your physical body, your income, your social life. Maybe you would like some extra $$$$ but for the moment all this seems to be in the ‘too hard’ basket?

Change your PLACE into your P A L A C E and your life might never be the same again!

Feng Shui ConsultationRoseline Deleu has adapted Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement to many cultures, beliefs and understanding. She has been conducting homes and business consultations and trainings for over 20 years. During your home or business consultation with her, together you spend a few hours and look at your life and the influence that your decor has onto your moods. Often, simply by changing the placement of some of your furniture, hanging a frame or a photo on the right spot, adding light in a dark corner, you unblock energy flow and coincidentally opportunities are coming your way.

Are you ready for a potential life change? Roseline has been consulting for over 20 years and has changed many people’s lives starting with her own. Her positive and constructive attitude could give you that boost that you always needed to step forward. Very often there is no need to purchase anything, together with Roseline, you will use what you already own and place it symbolically in the right spot. You turn your place into your P A L A C E and start enjoying life (again).
Grasp this opportunity and book Roseline, she travels Australia wide for the moment and will be in Europe in a few months time. Offer yourself this special time and invest in you.

(Today, is my Dad’s birthday. He has been in Spirit for a few decades.  I send him Love & Peace. ❤ Thank you for everything you did for me Dad!)

Coincidentally, a couple of days ago, I was at a re-enacting of the funeral ceremony of Bill Neidje, the last surviving speaker of the Kakadu language.

As part of my Feng Shui posts about Honouring our Ancestors, I wish to share following very important event that happened here in Canberra a couple of days ago:

25 March 2014 – Canberra – Reconcilliation Place hosted a very special event.

“Extract of AITSIS brochure – LORRKKON ceremony was lead by Binninj ceremonial leader Ronald Lamilami and Yolngu ceremonial elder and artistic Director of the evening’s event, Djakapurra Munyarryun. Both Ronald and Djakappurra led the ceremony at the Hawk Dreaming bone ceremony that was screened on the large media screens during the evening.

Lorrkkon Ceremony Canberra 25 March 2014LORRKKON relates to having the bones placed in a log (or in wooden container) and taken to a secret cave at Hawk Dreaming near the Valley of Bones for safe keeping. This ensures the last surviving speaker of the Gagadju language, Bill Neidjie’s spirit remains connected with his country and allows him and his family to continue their care and lawful management of the Bunitj lands.

The ceremony is performed on the specially prepared Bunggul ground. It is a re-enactement of the final part of his funeral ceremony. However, unlike the original, it does include women and men as tonight it involves a public aspect of this ceremony that involves the handing over of the film footage by the East Arnhem Land Aboriginal people (Yolngu in green) to the West Arnhem land people (Binninj in blue) who are connected through family and songlines.

honouring Gagudju Man The footage was then passed across by the Binninj ceremonial leaders to the old man’s children and grandchildren to handover to AIATSIS who become the new guardians of this precious and rare archive.

smoking ceremony canberraFollowing the ceremonial handover and acceptance speeches, the group return to the centre of the Bunggul ground for a cleansing smoking ceremony.
This marked the conclusion of the LORRKKON ceremony.”

It was a very touching event where unfortunately the Prime Minister of Australia, The Hon Tony Abbott MP couldn’t attend in person due to other commitments.

This ceremony was part of the celebration of 50 Years AIATSIS www.aiatsis.gov.au/connect

I am glad I was there.

A student of mine in Europe had created and painted her genealogy tree on her wall in her study (astutely located in sector 3).

Feng Shui placement Genealogy TreeI took this picture before she was going to add small pictures of her ancestors. It was her way thinking of them and being in gratitude for being who she is today. She had placed the tree on the wall behind her back.

This genealogy tree became her support and when she was working at her desk, it helped her lots – she felt surrounded and supported by them all.

A friend is staying with me for a few weeks. Today, it’s raining and both of us are working on our computers. I am preparing posts for my blog, he is de-cluttering old music and video files from his overloaded computer. He is listening to all of them before making his decision to ‘delete’. It’s noisy, too noisy and unfortunately not harmonious at all!

Love CandleWe all do learn every day… Today I am learning patience – so I say nothing. After an hour of loud and noisy music, I decide to connect with his higher self. I lit a “Love” candle and send him my positive and harmonious intention. In less than a minute he put the sound down!

All this without saying a word!

Let’s remember this easy little ritual and light a candle safely (with positive intention) when needed.

Honouring our Ancestors

Culturally speaking, the way we look at our family history and ancestors is very different. In China Yin Feng Shui is about burials, there, it is important to orient the bodies in auspicious direction for family’s luck and prosperity. The Western approach, we have not much choice, it is often the next spot available in the cemetery.

aboriginal flagHere in Australia, still a few decades ago, many indigenous tribes kept skulls and femur bones of the deceased. They wrapped them carefully and kept them in hidden caves. Each year, they visited the place, opened the package, discretely mourned together, cried for the loss of the loved one and remembered fond memories too. Then, they put a clean natural wrap around the bones and lovingly put them away safely in this secret place.

Today, most of us are aware that for our traditional owners, we don’t pronounce the names, avoid showing pictures and films of the deceased ones. People can change their names because they were given it initially from the person who is now deceased. We respect.

All this to say that the Feng Shui approach from the ancestors’ point of view will be different from one culture to another.

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colourFor all of us though, it is important to honour our ancestors, they are our roots. Westerners often keep photo albums. Some prefer to display old pictures of family around their homes. The best place will then be in your rumpus or family room or in your sector ‘3’ (on the picture in emerald green) relating to Family, Health, Past & Respect.

Leopold II Roseline Deleu great grand fatherI would recommend AVOID putting pictures of deceased in bedrooms !

citrusIt is a good Feng Shui idea to care for citrus trees in your garden.

Plant one on each side of your front door to welcome healthy and wealthy opportunities – or – in your sectors 3 or 4 to enjoy Health (Sector 3) and Wealth (Sector 4) as well as organic home grown lemons, limes or oranges!

For those of you in an apartment and who can’t have those plants indoors, replace with one of your personal pictures of citrus trees.

Knock yourself out

knock yourself out = please begin doing it
Ex. If you want to make hotel and airline and car reservations and take care of everything, well, then, knock yourself out.

A friend is staying with me for the moment and one of his favourite idioms is “Knock yourself out!”

I know that I should not take this literally but that’s what my brain does!

Last week, I fell on the gravel path during my regular run… I knocked myself out!
This week, I fell from my push bike… I knocked myself out!

Some words are so powerful aren’t they!?
So… I have asked him to avoid saying “Knock yourself out!” I rather stay alive and in good health 🙂
