A little video clip that I made many years ago, always very current information in there today!

A good reminder for those who spend a few minutes watching the Feng Shui Basics.

Clearer Wording can change Lives!

domestic violence, haus violence, pacific islands, roseline deleu, safe haus, save a life

I woke up suddenly to the sound of broken glass, banging on the wall and a man yelling and shouting. It was 3.45 AM and I had been only a few days in this new country. I looked through all my papers for the phone number to call the police but I didn’t have that info and I hadn’t come across phone books here yet. All other rooms in the share accommodation were dark, everyone else seemed either still asleep or trying to ignore what was happening next door. I felt useless. After 45 minutes, all became silent. A strange silence subtly revealing lots of hurt, bruises, broken hearts, sad and traumatic memories emotionally scaring kids for life. I know how it hurts. Many of you know this too.

The house next door was in very poor condition but rather large and hosted three families. The elderly father passed away last year. Family struggled living together and managing their finances – that’s was what the old man did best. They now had sold the property to my landlords and were waiting for the final property exchange. In the meantime, they came and asked them regularly for advanced money that sadly went straight to the too numerous bottle shops around town. Friday nights were the worst.

The next morning I questioned the landlords living on the ground floor on what’s the protocol when domestic violence happens here. Like me, they had heard the noise and fights last night but, as usual, turned around in bed and ignored it. I asked them why they didn’t call the police to report this domestic violence incident? That’s when the penny dropped!

“Oh, no” – said the landlord – “This is only family stuff, not domestic violence!”

I realised that for him the word ‘domestic’ didn’t have a clear meaning. I explained the origin of domestic – ‘domus’ means ‘house’ in Latin – then I thought I must be a little silly talking about Latin on that island in the middle of the Pacific! – So ‘domestic violence’ is of course family stuff but… culturally speaking , in the Pacific Islands, when it comes to family differences, hardly anybody would interfere!

There is a “Safe Haus” around the corner though, locals all know about it. It is a safe place, a refuge for family members suffering from violence at home.

English speakers often assume that everyone understands English. In the Pacific Islands, locals speak their own language and Pidgin English so… lots get lost in translation!

I wonder how deeper impact renaming domestic violence into “Violence blo Haus” or “Haus Violence” or “Family Violence” would have on people reacting and calling for help?

Violence is everyone’s business.

When you witness violence, call the police and you can stay anonymous.
Your call can change lives and even save one!

We see it on the news, violence is everywhere, in your country too.
Think about it, saving a life is only a phone call away.

Thank you!

Feng Shui is not ‘that’ Magic Wand

Calling upon a Feng Shui consultant is getting help and support to go through life experiences ๐Ÿ™‚

From a business point of view: Feng Shui cannot be taken responsible for a bad business plan, challenging personalities who don’t want to change nor for bad attitude towards staff or clients. Feng Shui is there to suggest and prepare the positive changes, welcome Chi flow – up to the clients to follow up and live accordingly.

From a personal, family and relationship point of view: regular Feng Shui changes and support from your consultant – or my blog – guide you to progress and it’s a real boost for so many peopleย  ๐Ÿ™‚ย  !

Most of my clients come back for further support and keep in touch for years after my visits, follow me on the blog and on Facebook.

I have heard that some readers may think that Feng Shui consultants have a magic wand – if so, please let me know where they bought it!ย  ๐Ÿ˜€
Believing in ‘that’ Feng Shui Magic Wand is sadly a trick for some clients to hide behind excuses to avoid changes and remain the way they are.

roseline sticksPlease consider, that when Feng Shui is crossing your life path it is there to help you when you refer to it regularly and you are open to look at yourself and change on daily basis!

Feng Shui Yours, always ๐Ÿ™‚ !

Feng Shui – Intuitive Collage

Feng Shui intuitive collage

When you don’t know what to do anymore… when you think that you are stuck in life… it is perfect timing for an intuitive Feng Shui collage! ๐Ÿ™‚

Group with collage w

You can do this by yourself or invite some friends over, they’ll bring their own magazines and you’ll mix them all together!

My recipe is simple:

1. โ€“ Answer my Feng Shui Life Quiz to determine which area(s) of your life needs a boost ! Email me roseline (at) fengshuisteps.com and ask me for your free copy of my Feng Shui Life Quiz.ย The 9 areas of my Feng Shui Life Quiz correspond each to a part of your life (just like the Magic Square of Feng Shui).

2. –ย ย  Where you scored the weakest points, prepare 5 affirmations for scores below 8 or 10 points. Yes, you may have more than one or two weak scores indeed! – so you may have to write 15 or 20 affirmations depending on what area of your life you decide to activate.
– Write each sentence with the idea of “TO BE” not “to have”, NO negative (so a positive sentence) AND in the present tense.
– Never write anything for others either by the way, this process is for YOU only, respect what others have on their path please.
– For example – for those of you who score low points in sector ‘4’ (Abundance) a good sentence would be “I enjoy spending wisely.” On the other hand “I will have a healthy bank account.” is incorrect because it contains the verb “to have” and it is in the future tense!
For those of you who struggle with their writings, feel free to write under this post and I’ll give you examples for re-wording your affirmations.

3. – Gather about 10 to 12 different magazines and play some nice happy music in the background.

4. โ€“ A large sheet of paper A3 or larger

5. โ€“ Glue stick and scissors.

111_1132

6. – You are now ready to start your collage. At the back of your A3 paper, write clearly each of your affirmations (as explained in point #2), date and sign under them as they are actually real promises that you are making to yourself!

7. – Then, read one resolution at the time and pick up one magazine, open it randomly and cut off the picture or a word that jumps at you (yes, the first thing that attracts your eye – NO, you don’t turn the pages, if you don’t find anything on that page, look at the front and back cover of your magazine). Close the magazine and place it back on the table.

8. – Read your second resolution, take another magazine and repeat the process (point #7).ย  Do this as many times as you need pictures to fill your paper (this means you may repeat reading your resolutions several times).

Feng Shui Steps Ba Gua in colour9. – Then, when you have all those photos or words (this whole magazine cutting process would take maximum 30 minutes – because when you do something intuitively you do NOT read nor look anywhere else in the magazines – you take the photo that is there, on that page that you opened ! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  ), glue them all on the other side of your paper according to the magic square of Feng Shui that defines the various areas of your life.

10. Display your collage where you see it daily โ€“ many put it near their bed or in their bathroom.

Leaving your emotional Baggage

I often see homes surrounded by high fences trough which one can’t see any view. I also have met people who never open their curtains and keep their homes constantly semi-dark or even very dark inside.

Those are of course subliminally working on the inhabitants moods!

If you have no other choice of having those fences blocking your view, please surround yourself inside your home with large photos/frames/art representing landscapes with open views.

Paradise island

If you want to keep your home – or even often only just one room – in the dark, ask yourself why you keep in the excess Yin (Passivity). Missing light – which represents Life – is lacking Joy. While it can be good to sleep and relax a few days in such an environment, constantly living in a dark place could easily lead you to depression, lack of interest in life, serious struggles with studies and sadly hiding away from… realizing that actually, you incarnated in this body in this life time to enjoy what life has to offer for the highest good of all ๐Ÿ™‚
Time to change those broken light bulbs, open the curtains and refresh the air while letting the light in.

For those with photos of bags, suitcases, fences or barriers in their decor, ask yourself if you are ready to leave your emotional baggage behind and jump the fence!?

Barriers could well only exist in your imagination.
Have you ever consider that fear and doubts were ever only created by your own thoughts?
How about you leave your baggage on the other side of the fence, climb it and see what life has to offer on the other side! ๐Ÿ™‚

Life is a great adventure and is worth living.

Feng Shui baby or IVF ?

One of her close friends told her to contact me.
This morning, a 35 y.o. woman called me in regards to her fertility problem. I could hear that she was rather reluctant, very nervous and over stressed. She tells me that she had 15 miscarriages with IVF and it’s costing her a fortune. Each pregnancy was interrupted before 5 weeks. It must be devastating.

I listened to her patiently and gave her a couple of suggestions by phone. Then she asks me about the price of a Feng Shui consultation for her home and immediately replied that she has no money for this because all her savings are going into the IVF projects.

There are days when I wonder why people stay stubborn. Fifteen miscarriages and not considering any other alternative?
I never push anyone to follow Feng Shui while I must admit that I already count many Feng Shui babies all over the world!Heaven Chi

Each of us in on their own journey and of course I respect her decision.

What would you do if you were in her shoes?

difference of cultureAs we walked along the Molonglo Gorges (Canberra-Australia), we stopped and looked at those trees.

They seem to have grown next to each other, have their own roots and when you observe closer, they look like they are embracing each other!

We immediately thought how much Nature is telling us. Today, with all what is happening in the world, we feel challenged with different cultures… while different sort of trees with different roots systems can without problem live together in harmony. We are sure we can too!

Food for thoughts!
