EASY Feng Shui Steps – The Kitchen

The kitchen contains the most ‘Fire’ element around the house; it is where you prepare and cook meals. The kitchen is also the symbol of health so the position of appliances is important.

Traditional Feng Shui experts pay most attention to the location of the stove being in the ‘power position’ – which means facing the entering Chi. The chef should never be cooking turning his/her back to the Chi or the residents ‘health, wealth and personal relations could suffer.

In this regards, we have 2 different cycles:

1. The logic cycle – Food feeds a person’s health and effectiveness. So the better the food, the more capable the person and the larger his/her potential income… which in turn could well be improving the quality of his/her food.

2. The depressing cycle – The poorer the person, the words the food (generally), so he/she will get into that spiral downhill.

The ideal kitchen is spacious, brightly lit and well ventilated. A stove cramped in a corner will inhibit the cook’s movements and block Chi flow. The stove symbolises the home’s finances. It should be clean and work smoothly (so please check that all burners are in working order). The amount of use of burners can influence the prosperity of the family; the more burners the ore income. When burners are not used, the family is missing out of opportunities and may not prosper as well as they would like.

Feng Shui KitchenFig 1 – Feng Shui layout for your kitchen

a) Clearing clutter everyday is important. Put away any dishes and items that are not used daily
b) A stainless steel or glass splash back can be used to reflect the entering Chi if the stove is not in the power position (as illustrated on Fig 1). Stainless steel appliances could be used to create the same effect.
c) Make sure that all burners are in working order
d) Please leave fridge uncluttered, un-necessary magnets and bills won’t make your day!
e) Keep the work area clean and empty when not in use. The more things are stored away in cupboards, the better Chi will flow.

Enjoying cooking in a happy kitchen puts happiness into your food = Happy family!

NO-NOs for the Kitchen

– Decorating your kitchen or an overhead beam with hanging pots, utensils or empty baskets is not a good idea because they are usually are stagnant and collect dust. They are also considered inauspicious as they create lots of poison arrows and give the impression of a cluttered place.
– Put your knives out of sight as they encourage quarrels in the family.
– Hanging dried flowers or garlic strings = dead plants that would send too much Yin energy; store them instead in cupboards if needed.

GOOD ideas for the Kitchen

– Keeping a well stored refrigerator and pantry symbolises abundance as does a bowl of fresh fruit or vegetables on the kitchen table.
– be happy cooking in your kitchen; please avoid listening or watching the news (they are usually bad news anyway) , avoid depressing pictures, unpaid bills on the fridge door or photos of people or animals who passed away.
– Play harmonious and happy music while cooking so you put good energy into your food too.

Nature’s Magic Symbols

When you connect with the Elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Air), nature sends you some messages through symbols. Only you can decipher its meaning. When you start noticing those shapes, forms, symbols around you, ask permission to mother nature to take a picture so you will be able to remember those special moments.

Yesterday, I was walking Standley’s Chasm in Central Australia 50 kms out of Alice Springs, NT and I noticed the turtle in this rock…

turtle rockHow many other animals, symbols, shapes do YOU see in this picture?

21st birthdayI tend to follow as much as I can technology updates (people in my age group will understand how challenging it can be sometimes).

This week, my son (Generation Y) updated my Xperia Mobile phone AND I offered myself a beautiful light new Toshiba laptop HD screen (on which he installed everything that I need). It’s so good to be able to get help from young ones, they are so efficient.

I now FEEL DIFFERENT, my thinking process is better, faster and clearer.

Winning ! πŸ™‚ Thank you my son! Thank you technology!

And you… when did you “update yourself” last πŸ˜€

Changes help us shift old routines. Movement is life. Welcome transformation!

Feng Shui – the Coffin Position

bad luck, bed position in feng shui, coffin position, feng shui, feng shui master, feng shui solutions, International Feng Shui

The Feng Shui term “Coffin Position” is referred to the bed being straight in line with the bedroom door – exactly when the feet are going through the door… which in general, is how the coffin gets out. Dark idea isn’t it!

If your feet are NOT going through the door because the door is about 60 cm on the left or on the right, then your position is fine. On the other hand, if there is no other way to place your bed, what do you do?

A few options to choose from:

1. Hang a lovely light mobile from the ceiling, between your feet and the door
2. Place a blanket box between feet and door (see illustration)
3. Create a partition between bed and door (fabric, dolls house etc.)

yin yang symbol applied to magic squareSome people naively believe that one visit of a Feng Shui consultant is enough to have their life sorted.
It certainly starts the process and can bring amazing changes.
More importantly is is essential to understand that after your consultant visit, it is your role to keep that flow in harmony!

– Keep reviewing your place with ‘Feng Shui’ eyes
– Manage your de-cluttering
– Look for broken items and repair them

My best advice: change something in your home weekly!

For example:
– one week, change the colour of your cushion covers,
– another week, move your photo frames around,
– the third week rearrange inside a cupboard,
– the 4th week go through that huge pile of paper work that you keep pushing away
– 5th week, clear all your crystals,
etc…

Best Feng Shui Master of 2013Enjoy your Feng Shui changes and your life will evolve.

citrusIt is a good Feng Shui idea to care for citrus trees in your garden.

Plant one on each side of your front door to welcome healthy and wealthy opportunities – or – in your sectors 3 or 4 to enjoy Health (Sector 3) and Wealth (Sector 4) as well as organic home grown lemons, limes or oranges!

For those of you in an apartment and who can’t have those plants indoors, replace with one of your personal pictures of citrus trees.

Ban Chinese Feng Shui items?

When harmonious Chi (energy) flow knocks at your front door, it can only be with good news!

Your surroundings silently speak about your life. Your decor reveals your weaknesses and strengths, your desires, your ambitions, your achievements too. Today, the fashionably ancient art of placement known as Feng Shui brings harmony around you and allows peace to flow out- and in-doors. Let’s have a quick look how to apply it with your local energies!

Roseline Deleu Feng Shui MasterMy most important question with this post today is – β€œAre you in harmony with the energies of your local land”?

How many traditional Chinese Feng Shui items are you worshiping in your homes here in Australia (or around the world)? I am afraid to say that by wearing β€˜Made in China’ clothes, as well as putting Chinese items forward in your interior, you are encouraging the energies of China rather than encouraging national, regional energies and community businesses. Have you ever wonder how this could conflict with local culture, with your well-being and self-confidence? How much does it disturb the ancient traditional energies of your country? Understand the intrinsic significance of Feng Shui and please apply it in Australia with Australian items – in your country with your local items – results are so much faster, more powerful and happily rewarding!

I stepped away from the cheap traditional Chinese Feng Shui plastic items many decades ago. I rather encourage clients and students to enhance their energies with beauty and taste – certainly with what I define as β€˜local’ items such as local Art, Music Instruments (for ex.Β  here in Australia: clap sticks & didgeridoo), Mobiles, etc. I’d rather see them creative and appreciate their belongings to the fullest. No need to buy more, no need to purchase anything even – we can live very well with very little (clutter-free). Harmony in your home is just a matter of placing the right item into focus, harmonizing colours and allowing Chi flow to smoothly swirl with the correct placement of your furniture.

Your stories are welcome!

A cupboard a day… Happy everyday!

garde robe bien rangee– You too, send me your feed-back stories! –

I emptied half of my wardrobe to symbolically welcome a potential relationship. When I was ready, I then activated Chi in my Feng Shui “Relationship” sector at home and after putting my clear intents into an exciting Feng Shui collage, I got my amazing results!

wardrobe well organisedSince the arrival of this man into my life, I had to seriously do more de-cluttering and bring both our harmony into the place: I re-organized and de-cluttered inside my cupboards. One cupboard a day… Happy everyday!

I always wonder how I could have accumulated so much unnecessary stuff. Yesterday, I emptied my pharmacy cabinet, threw left overs of cream waiting in silent bottles as well as old medication that ran out of date.

Since the start of this process, I feel lighter, brighter. Many cupboards are now clean and well organized… so are our ideas and priorities in life, our relationship is in harmony too.
