Dear Roseline,

I am often caused to think of you through the feng shui principles you shared with me. In my own place I am experimenting selecting and placing things in places that amplify these principles.

Some of them jump out at you and you know and feel that they are right!
e.g. I have a central sky light in the main lounge kitchen area. Is it any wonder that it is my favourite area to sit and work, eat or play.

My kitchen is in the abundance area, needless to say I enjoy preparing and cooking wholesome foods and drinks.

I am constantly challenged to reduce my storage of building materials as I am nearing completion of renovation.

When things are removed a burden is lifted and you have more space to be and you feel “cleaner” and much lighter.

At the right time new things and experiences can be incorporated.

Thank you for the many posts you have been sharing on your blog in the past years, I’m sure it inspired many others.

Dear Roseline, We have been here in our new home 2 and a bit years and my family and I have all felt displaced and unsettled. Something is not quite right! Your advice would be appreciated. – Jordan, Australia

Dear Jordan,

There are many reasons why someone would feel unsettled. I will list only a few with dot points – this list is far from being exhaustive!

Could be that…

  • Was this new house built on a aboriginal burial site?
  • Do you still long to your old home?
  • Did you say goodbye to your old house (equally important if you rented or owned it) ?
  • Did you take with you in this new home newly bought antiques or mirrors that had been used by another person?
  • Did you bring in with you in this new place objects of recently deceased people?
  • Is your house located near one of those really high electric poles? or high electric fields?
  • Is your new place ‘closed in’ and were you used before to have a large garden or lived on a big property?
  • What is across of your main entry door?

More details from you would be welcomed so I could give you further suggestions. Cheers!

I am happy to help all my readers help themselves with Feng Shui tips.
Even though this blog doesn’t replace a Feng Shui consultation with me, I do welcome simple questions via email to which I will answer by placing an article on this blog so that all followers can learn.

House number 7

The apartment or house numbers ‘3’ , ‘8’ and ‘9’ have been posted recently and you can either click on blue highlighted links or scroll under this post. Today let’s have a look at the number ‘7’.

House numbers are believed to influence our lives at least to a certain extend.

house-7

Illustration of this article shows a house number  ’259’ which when we add  2+5+9 = 16 -> 1+6 = 7.
The 259 number also resonates with numbers 2, 5 and 9 that will be important to read in my previous and next posts.

Of course there is much more than a simple number to influence your life!

Seven is an interesting number in Feng Shui and symbolizes creativity, children, projects and ideas. Living in an ‘7’ house, to a several digits number adding to ‘7’ or a house number containing ‘7’ in the digits, has a positive influence on the creativity and fertility of its inhabitants.

Buying or living in a ‘7’ house could well be THE place where you (finally) become more creative, start new studies related with Art or Children. In a 7 house you look into new projects or even fall pregnant after having hesitated or waited many years!

For some of you, living in a ‘7’ house could well be where you finally are going to bring your projects into reality. You may have studied many avenues or followed lots of workshops and completed certificates over the past years – it is in a ‘7’ house that you will get that kick and make that step towards allowing you to put all this into practice.

Even though you may be living in the house with many members of your family – or – getting lots of visitors –  in the ‘7’ house you may feel sometimes alone or lonely. It is the perfect house to introspect – yes, your answer is within –  and thus grow and strengthen on a spiritual level.

All this and more can happen as long as your sector ‘7’ in your garden and inside your home – of course – carry the energies of the Metal element!

house-7

In the illustrated 259 house example, we can see a few chairs in the garden near the main house entrance. I usually recommend to use those chairs on a regular basis for meetings especially if they are in front of the house near where Chi enters (main entry). Unused chairs are stagnant likewise are chairs in front of an entry door where you sit on your own. They would slow the entering Chi and you may then find yourself struggling to change.

Reader feed back email on house number ‘7’

Dear Roseline,
I live in a seven house and yes I fell pregnant 5 times. My husband has been very creative in this house, cake decorating, airbrushing, chocolate and confectionary making. My youngest child is very creative and her craft spot is just inside the front door, if only she would keep this space neater! We also have a metal letterbox. Explains a lot! – C. R. Australia

Feeling trapped?

bird cages, cages, feng shui, feng shui tips, roseline deleu, Sydney

Even though today’s fashion shop sell decorative cages, look into what they really symbolise for you!

Each moment your eyes are scanning the decor inside your home. Photos, paintings, objects have a meaning for you, a very personal meaning because each of us has so far lived its own life and own experiences thus we have our own symbolism.

Seeing cages may well be sending you the subliminal message that you feel trapped? Avoid cages unless the cage door is open… then it you could turn its symbolism around and may well create the idea of freedom around you!

Feng Shui and New Year Resolutions

Feng Shui Tips to support your New Year Resolutions – Roseline Deleu

It’s still time to look into the New Year resolutions that you promised yourself earlier this month. How are they evolving so far?

Your thoughts are alive, you could even say that they are carrying a consciousness, an energy influencing your day, your outlook on situations and, yes, what you think changes your life.

  1. Past Resolutions
What happened to the good intents of the past years?
Are you in that new job?
    Have you lost that weight?
    Do you drink less alcohol?
Have these resolutions failed and why?

This year again, you wish to find that magic wand that will make your dreams come true.
Here are a few Feng Shui tips to support your decisions and anchor the energy of your intents around you.

Instead of finding excuses for not going ahead with your resolutions, what you will display around your home will remind your subconscious to hang in there.

Be true to yourself, no-one can side track you when you stay focused.

  1. This Year Resolutions
    a) write down 3 resolutions about you (and you only because you can’t decide for anyone else)
    b) write them positively in the present tense
    c) follow 3 steps as illustrated in the following examples

3 EASY Feng ShuiSTEPS to follow
1.Write your intention with the idea of ‘to BE’
2. Anchor it into a collage and place this collage in view
3. Put your intent into action

Examples…

Avoid : “I lose weight” (wrong: because when you lose something you always look for it).
Good sentence : “I reshape my body to a size 12”
Feng Shui Tip: create a little collage cutting the body you’d like in a magazine and add your face to it. Put it on your fridge door.
Activate your intention: Exercise every day even if it is for 10 minutes only, the importance is to get into a routine.

Encourage Healthy ChiAvoid : “I’m trying to give up smoking” (wrong: because you can’t try, you either do or don’t)
Good sentence : “I breathe fresh air”
Feng Shui Tip: put a photo of you in the rainforest surrounded by lush green plants – or – create a little collage using a photo or view from a magazine and add yourself into it. Stick it on your cigarette pack instead of the health warning photo. Change this photo/collage for each pack of cigarette that you start so you reaffirm each time your intent to give up and breathe healthy air.
Activate your intention: Each morning as you wake up, go outside, look at nature and breath in and out slowly focusing on the air getting in and out of your lungs. After 10 minutes, start your daily activities.

Avoid : “I have a good relationship with John” (wrong: you are using to HAVE here instead of the idea of to BE – also, when you put someone else’s name it is not right).
Good sentence : “I enjoy a loving relationship”
Feng Shui Tip: cut a photo out of a magazine of a loving couple – what is important though is that this couple cannot be have water in their back, no river flowing, no ocean either). Blue tag it on your bathroom mirror.
Activate your intention: Each time you go to your bathroom, remember the qualities that you offer into a relationship. Would you feel ‘not good enough’ then it is time to look at yourself in the mirror and have a good discussion with yourself and change into the person you aim to be.

EASY Feng Shui Steps – The Master Bedroom (Part 2)

DYI feng shui, easy feng shui, feng shui master, feng shui master bedroom, feng shui photo in your bedroom, feng shui tips, happy feng shui for relationships, roseline deleu, tips for the bedroom

A few days ago I published the Part 1 of this article, I gave you all the GOOD tips for the Master Bedroom. This post is looking into all what we should AVOID…

A few Feng Shui NO NO’s for the Master Bedroom

– Do NOT place any symbol of the Water element in the master bedroom… NO aquariums, NO waterbed, NO picture, photo or painting of water they could bring a lack of stability in your couple
– NO pictures of your children. The bedroom is your room as a couple, you are already ‘mum & dad’ in all the other rooms of the house!
– NO books, NO magazines in your bedroom. Reading best happens in your lounge or study areas. Your bedroom is for you to relax, share love, rest and sleep. An interesting book would keep you awake and distracted from the initial purpose of your room!
– Do NOT place liquid crystal alarm clocks just near your bed head. You might wake up with a headache. Locate it instead at least 1.5 metre away from your head, maybe in your en-suite This helps reduce the electro-magnetic field exposure
– Remove as many electrical appliances from the bedroom as possible
– Ideally, avoid computers or anything related with your work or your daily business; you’d dream and worry of work all night
– Look what’s behind the wall of your bed head. Avoid placing your bed near AC (alternative current) electromagnetic field sources. Do NOT place it against a wall that has a refrigerator, computer, electricity heater, hot water system, TV or meter box on the other side.
– Raise your bed at least 40 cms from the floor to help reduce the electro magnetic field exposure from wiring under the floor
– Do not place mirrors on side walls nor on the foot of your bed – in other words, no mirrors where you could see yourself when lying down
– Avoid fresh plants and fresh flowers in bedrooms.

I stop the No No’s list here, this gives you already a sound idea of what you can easily avoid.

What you scan before you sleep makes your night..
What you scan as you wake up makes your day…
Feng Shui your Bedroom!

Happy Feng Shui for relationshipFig 1 – Happy couples place at least one photo of them together in their bedroom.

Feng Shui Tips for your Dining Room

Follow the prompts for the best possible Feng Shui in your DINING ROOM…

Feng Shui - Dining Room

Explanations of Fig 1
a) A fresh fruit bowl reflecting in a mirror can boost prosperity
b) Create an intimate and welcoming ambience by placing lit candles on the table or sideboard
c) Oblong , round or square tables with soft corners are best. Long narrow tables are not recommended. Avoid seating guests at the corners as they act as poison arrows.
d) Seat diners with their backs to a solid structure like upholstered seats or wall or heavy buffet.
e) Six or eight are ideal numbers of chairs around a table.
f) The table should be in a well defined space so Chi can flow all around it.

Dining table cornered

Fig 2 – AVOID a table pushed against a wall !

General Feng Shui tips for the Dining Room

Whether your dining area is a formal room or is simply a table in your family room or kitchen, the following applies equally:
– If you choose to stick your dining table against a wall, Chi cannot flow there. You will project the same problem in the area of your life. For example, if your table is stuck in your wealth area, money will not flow easily to you.
– The dining room should not be too close to the entrance or guests will eat and run. If so, screen it from the initial view of those entering with a partition or beaded curtains. Even a round faceted crystal can serve as a symbolic screen.
– You can use small typical Chinese Feng Shui statues. Fu, Lu and Sau are the three gods of health, happiness and prosperity. Just make sure when diners are seated, the statues are slightly higher.
– One mirror is fine as it doubles the food, symbolically doubling the abundance. Two mirrors facing each other is inappropriate in a dining room as it creates a busy and sharp atmosphere.
– If your table is underneath an apparent beam cutting the table, people might argue or feel separate.
– It is auspicious to match your china and never use cracked or chipped plates or glasses.
