This example of pink bedroom for a girl has been taken in a furniture shop. It inspired me to write you this little post with a few warnings as the little girl who would live there could well be too independent too soon!

  1. Firstly, avoid double beds until late teenager years! A child would feel lost in a large bed like this and could feel the need to become too independent too young feeling heavy responsibilities in life – leading then to potential lost of self-confidence.
  2. A single bed would ideally be placed in a corner, so the child will have the support from both walls.
  3. The frames illustrated in this photo show a single girl playing on her own. Does your child feel lonely? Not very social? Instead decorate with photos of smiling and happy children.
  4. The corner of the draws is a poison arrow that is sending uncomfortable Sha Chi energy to the sleeper (who actually will always sleep poorly in those conditions).
  5. Decor on top of the draws are much too adult and too heavy for a girl’s bedroom and would only collect dust.

Top Feng Shui tip – when decorating your child’s bedroom, bend your knees and look from your child’s eyes height to feel how the decor could affect your little one.

Enjoy your Feng Shui experiences! 🙂

House number 7

The apartment or house numbers ‘3’ , ‘8’ and ‘9’ have been posted recently and you can either click on blue highlighted links or scroll under this post. Today let’s have a look at the number ‘7’.

House numbers are believed to influence our lives at least to a certain extend.

house-7

Illustration of this article shows a house number  ’259’ which when we add  2+5+9 = 16 -> 1+6 = 7.
The 259 number also resonates with numbers 2, 5 and 9 that will be important to read in my previous and next posts.

Of course there is much more than a simple number to influence your life!

Seven is an interesting number in Feng Shui and symbolizes creativity, children, projects and ideas. Living in an ‘7’ house, to a several digits number adding to ‘7’ or a house number containing ‘7’ in the digits, has a positive influence on the creativity and fertility of its inhabitants.

Buying or living in a ‘7’ house could well be THE place where you (finally) become more creative, start new studies related with Art or Children. In a 7 house you look into new projects or even fall pregnant after having hesitated or waited many years!

For some of you, living in a ‘7’ house could well be where you finally are going to bring your projects into reality. You may have studied many avenues or followed lots of workshops and completed certificates over the past years – it is in a ‘7’ house that you will get that kick and make that step towards allowing you to put all this into practice.

Even though you may be living in the house with many members of your family – or – getting lots of visitors –  in the ‘7’ house you may feel sometimes alone or lonely. It is the perfect house to introspect – yes, your answer is within –  and thus grow and strengthen on a spiritual level.

All this and more can happen as long as your sector ‘7’ in your garden and inside your home – of course – carry the energies of the Metal element!

house-7

In the illustrated 259 house example, we can see a few chairs in the garden near the main house entrance. I usually recommend to use those chairs on a regular basis for meetings especially if they are in front of the house near where Chi enters (main entry). Unused chairs are stagnant likewise are chairs in front of an entry door where you sit on your own. They would slow the entering Chi and you may then find yourself struggling to change.

Reader feed back email on house number ‘7’

Dear Roseline,
I live in a seven house and yes I fell pregnant 5 times. My husband has been very creative in this house, cake decorating, airbrushing, chocolate and confectionary making. My youngest child is very creative and her craft spot is just inside the front door, if only she would keep this space neater! We also have a metal letterbox. Explains a lot! – C. R. Australia

At the Touch of your Fingers

DSC_8514Have you ever thought of the impact to yourself and more importantly to young children while using  mobile phones, tablets, touch screens and electronic games ?

Constantly touching ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) with  fingers – even though there is an insulator such as glass – each screen is coated with that transparent indium tin oxide (InSnO) conductor. Studies today probably cannot yet reveal how much it will affect our emotional, mental and physical health in the next couple of decades.

How about, now that you are aware of this potentially harming challenge, you limit the use of touch screen with fingers?

Instead of allowing technology to be the easy way out to keep kids quiet, choose instead natural wooden toys, sand, cooking and storytelling with parents and grandparents!

Thank you for your attention – by reassessing  the use of electronic devices, you may well be changing many lives today!

Reachable Education

I had a peek inside a class room while the school was closed for school holidays. I was not surprised to see no desk nor benches as this can be very common in any of the village schools in the Pacific Islands – but – I was disappointed seeing the placement of some of the little education materials!

classroom pacific islands

As you see on the photo, three posters are displayed under the black board. This is perfect height for little kids till the age of 7 approximately. It is at the level of their eyesight or lower and they are often on the floor level.

Sadly, the orange A4 papers with the drawings and spelled words of their representations are hanging on one of the ceiling beams or too high on the walls. Kids are little people and when they sit on the ground to listen to the class room they are very unlikely to lift their heads up that high, it is uncomfortable and hurts their necks to read what’s on the beams!

Would they be lying on the floor, then it’d be good to display all those on the ceiling itself!

The main classroom blackboard should be placed no higher than at 50 centimeters off the floor. Here it is much too high and we can see that kids need chairs to be able to write on it or clean it!

This is an unnecessary hazard on many physical and emotional levels !

Maybe some kids feel shy to climb on the chairs, could feel awkward or even dizzy – all this and more could easily lead to totally disgust them from very early age to go to school and learning. The consequences of this could quickly and potentially bring unhappiness in their lives too.

The Art of Placement starts from common sense. Making education reachable is essential for the growth of your country.
Please look from kids heights when you decide of the layout and decor of your classrooms. When it is too high, it is always overpowering!

Please, also avoid putting papers and posters too close from open windows where the rain falls could damage them.

Thank you for your attention – by reassessing your classrooms now, you may well be changing many lives today! ❤
