Many years ago I learned from an I-Ching master that the angle of the octagon symbolises the expansion of the Universe – hence why we find in many 8-sided windows in Chinese imperial palaces. The octagon is also found in the Ba-gua that is cautiously displayed on top of main entrances to expel bad luck.
With this little post, I’d like to share with you what we did during my most recent Feng Shui Practitioner training.
We found this 8-sided heavy stone candle holder. In each of the 9 niches (each corresponding to the 9 sectors of the Feng Shui magic Square), the student wrote a wish. She then lit one candle at the time, saying each of the intents aloud… Triple power here:
the Power of Intent,- the Power of Light and
- the Power of Voice.
The first candle to go out could well be the first wish that comes true!
