Dear Roseline, I am hoping you can help me. In fact I’m sure you can! First I must say how much I love your newsletters and Facebook status updates, they are so inspiring and knowledgeable, thank you.

The NW direction corresponds in the Black Hat School of Feng Shui to the sector ‘6’ Helpful People & Travels – here represented in the white colour (bottom right of the square aligning your entry to 8-1-6)
I am writing as I have discovered the home I have been living in for almost a year is missing its NW corner. What currently occupies the NW is empty space. A backyard – and an unlandscaped one at that!
I have been Googling and am confused! I’m not sure what the solution or the remedy is. I have read so many different and conflicting things. Obviously the best option is to fill it, however with the design of the house and also cost, we aren’t keen on extending our already quite large house to fill this space.
What is needed to help resolve this issue? A red ribbon in that corner? A horse? A mirror? A light? I’ve read so many different things. I am also quite concerned as my partner is having troubles and may have to LEAVE us. I have three young children, very young, so of course naturally I do not want the head of our family leaving.
Are you able to help me?
My dearest reader, I will answer to you as wisely as possible and give you some insights on how to balance your grid challenge.
1. I follow the Black Hat School of Feng Shui that uses the static grid directions, means for us, the entry is the most important point, it is where Chi enters. You align the side 8-1-6 on the side of your house and your door will be in one of these areas.
2. From what I understand your sector ‘6’ is missing, this means that you might not benefit of as many travels as you’d like or give and receive as much help as you’d need.
3. To rebalance this in your life… you need to add a ‘heavy object’ in your garden
a) Since your ‘6’ is in your un-landscaped garden, could you put a large pot with a healthy plant at the intersection of the missing walls (that would complete your Magic Square)?
b) I’d recommend you to have a close look at each sector ‘6’ of your main rooms. Yes, indeed, place this grid onto each room aligning the door you use the most onto 8-1-6. What is in each sector ‘6’ of each of those rooms? It is important that they are each de-cluttered, that lights blubs are in working order, that objects on display are in good condition and make you happy.
As you do not explain what kind of ‘trouble’ your husband is going through for the moment, I can only suggest you to place a lovely photo of you two and a photo of the 5 of you together (I imagnie that you’d have one) next to a vase with fresh flowers. Take care of the flowers regularly.
Let me know how you go. Improvement can happen fast, so remember to place your good intents when you follow what I suggest. Kind regards,

Please can someone offer me some advice? I live in a lower ground floor flat of a late Victorian four-storey house. My front door is SSE facing. Facing my door and looking at the front of the building.. on the far left is a set of six steps down. Straight ahead is my kitchen window. The window looks out onto these stairs and some dustbins at the top of the stairs. This area is a narrow space as to the right of these stairs is the main staircase to the upper ground level, which houses and understairs meter/storage cupboard (reached via the stairs facing my kitchen window). Immediately to the right of the main staircase are six stairs to my lower ground flat (there is no ground level flat and the main stairs jut out from the main face of the house. My front door is opposite these six steps down. To the right of my front door is a bay window and to the right of that a small indented area back to the main front wall of the building.
I wonder if the upper stairs jutting out make the areas either side an ‘indented/missing’ area even though my flat is aligned along the front of house main wall (except for the bay window)?
As I stand just inside the SSE facing door, looking into the flat there is the kitchen immediately to the left, further along the hall is a bathroom to the left (with no window); and the main bedroom to the right (which has the front of house bay window). The lounge door is adjacent to the bathroom and immediately opposite the front door. Further along on entering the lounge is the door to the small back bedroom (on the left following the bathroom).
The back of my flat faces SSE and overlooks my patio and garden. In the top left hand corner is the small bedroom. The rest is the lounge. There are no missing or added areas at the back of the flat. The back garden door is in line with the hall and the main front door.
Are the any features that would bring better health, better family relationships and prosperity?
I would really appreciate your help. Lorraine
Hello Lorraine, please send a picture so I can have a better idea.
Already one point, you’ll need fresh and alive plants on each side of your front door, tall plants.
Kind regards, Roseline
I’m missing area 2 – probably why i’m single. Should I do the same as Lorraine? Do you have any advice?
Hello Kelly, What I recommended for Lorraine is a bit more specific for her as she gave me some details. For you, I’d like to suggest to place the magic square (grid) onto each of your rooms. Each room will have a sector ‘2’ corresponding to ‘Relationships’. There, check what objects that you have on display, if they are in working order, unbroken etc… and remedy accordingly. Avoid having SINGLE items around you.
Let’s start from there and see what changes you are welcoming soon. Kindly, Roseline
Thank you. The house i’m moving to next weekend is missing the #2 square. I was hoping for a reply before I moved (thank you), so I could set it up appropriately from the beginning. Fingers crossed. It’s a wonderful new philosophy (new to me) and i’m looking forward to playing with the chi.
The majority of houses are good dear Kelly because the one you choose is the one that has something to teach you. This upcoming home has no sector ‘2’ it means that you will find the ways to make it happen, harness the Chi in your home starting with the Chi in your mind.
Start with writing a list with 2 columns… in the right column, write the wish list of the values and quality in the partner you wish to meet. Then in the left one, write all yours (what you have to offer).
All the best and welcome soon in your new home. Your new YOU!
Kindly, Roseline x
